Sorry James - been off the board for a while. I hate it when life gets int he way of planning a vacation!!!!

It'd be nice to get a table for 4 - I'll run it by my better 1/2!

Still learning the lingo - please forgive my ignornance and not knowing what "aplapl" means. Would be so kind as to translate?

Hi :wave2:
A-animators palate P-parrot cay L-Lumieres.. no problem. I haven't been on much either as Last week went to Biketoberfest in Daytona. On the way 2 of our group wiped out and went down in front of me.. I escaped with only a bent crash bar and fender damage but, one of the guys had to have surrgery on his leg and the other got major road rash so I think I was lucky not going to the pavement.. Today I found out a good friend of mine who rides died last night on his scooter close to the house. When it rains it pours. I will wait for your reply on the seating before I call.

hello

has anyone else booked the REAS package? it is $339 and includes advance reservations at Palo for dinner, brunch & tea , gift basket in room, romantic turn down, champagne breakfast and a couples massage

i just thought it would take the stress out of rushing to book palo's when we board and i would love a massage!!:p

is time dragging for anyone else? gee, i normally look forward to the holidays but now i am waiting for them to be over so i can be that much closer to my cruise:rolleyes:

I would love to book the REAS, but doubt we can afford to come up with that right now :(

It'll be here before we know it :bounce: Once the holidays are over, I'm going to start to panic

Wow - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend who passed away and all the other issues. In a word YIKES. It's too bad our cruise isn't sooner - sounds like a few of us need a "calgon - take me away" time!

Spoke with my hubby - he said sure to getting a table together. Let's shoot for Animator's Palate. That was my favorite place. Maybe we'll get lucky and be at the same table the whole cruise! Keep me posted AND please take care of yourself!:flower1:

it's getting closer..............................:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

and closer......................

Can't believe it's only 176 days away:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

i am getting so excited- i will probably hyperventilate when we are a week away!!:hyper:

my DH and i watched the DCL special on the travel channel that i had previously taped- i have watched it plenty of times but DH has never watched it all the way through- he was actually getting excited too:rolleyes: he didn't realize there was a basketball court on board

bratray - I know what you mean. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through that month before, let alone the week

My oldest DD was thrilled to see the basketball court on the DVD (or maybe it was special). I'm sure we'll get plenty of use out of that.

Hi all:wave:
Time is going pretty fast. I am still pack-ratting things for the trip and also the DW found a bag of stuff left over from the last cruise.. Definately will not pack as much clothes this time, but will carrry my laptop to download pictuers and video. I was looking at Capt. Marvins site and see that his tours are much more affordable than DCL and of course have heard nothing but good on this site http://captainmarvins.com/. Really enjoy talking to you guys.:grouphug:

Hi James...

We're looking at doing Capt Marvin's too. I think we'll do the short trip (2 hours) in the early afternoon so we can sleep in and still have time to walk around and shop.

One great thing about this board is the advice about not overpacking. I'm planning on doing laundry once, so we'll pack for just a couple of days. I'm sure my girls will be in swimsuits most of the time anyways.

I don't want to even think about packing!
Are you guys packing day bags in case the luggage doesn't show up before dinner? We're flying in the night before, so I will have time to throw something together. It just seems like there are mixed feeling about wether or not that is necessary. What do you all think?

When we did our May cruise, we were recommended to pack a small day bag. it worked out great and there was no delay in our luggage! We are arriving the day before our cruise as well!

Last time we cruised before 9-11 we carried a case of water and a case of diet pepsi on a wheeled luggage carrier. Now that soda is free and with Shirley at the Perfect Gift we will notcarry so much on the boat with us. Also our luggage arrived in our room in plenty of time for us.
James

I'm planning on packing a day bag with sundresses for the girls for dinner and a shirt for me and DH to change into (I'm planning to wear capris) I hear the first night is pretty casual, so I'm not too worried. We're flying in the day before also and girls will have swimsuits under their clothes when we board.
