7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

Goofytoo - I had heard that the Fury Catamaran snorkel & beach trip was suppose to be a lot of fun and can't wait.

Question for anyone that can answer: Our trip should be paid off in the next week and we'll be booking our execursions soon after. Does anyone know when you book an execursion with Disney (Fury Catamaran trip) if they bill you right away??? I had heard with Capt Marvin that they won't actually bill you till your do the trip. We are using our refund to pay trip and all exercusions off ahead of time and need to know if I need to set aside any money. Oh, one other question... when booking an exercusion with Disney, can we do that online or does it have to be by phone or print out form and mail???

We are SO getting close

hi

i booked with capt marvins because as lostgirls said the reviews were fantastic- i believe it was cheaper then DCL so i thought what have i got to loose??

boy, everything seems so real now since we will be able to start booking excursions!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc

TERA;
with capt marvins they use your credit card to hold the reservation and would prefer if you would pay cash when you arrive for your tour, so nothing is charged until that day,
disney doesn't charge you until you are on the cruise- you can reserve by fax, email or phone call:

Shore Excursion Request

Three easy ways to reserve your shore excursions:
Call the Special Services Desk at (877) 566-0968†.
E-mail your shore excursion requests along with your name and reservation number to dcl.shore.excursions@disneycruise.com*
Click here to download and print a PDF of the Shore Excursion Request Form. Then fill out the form completely and fax to (407) 566-7031† .
You may request your shore excursions prior to your scheduled sailing through our Special Services team on or after your final payment due date. Some excursions have capacity limits so be sure to make your request early. Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis. You can alter your shore excursion requests anytime up to two (2) days prior to sailing. You should note that after that time, no new excursion reservations can be made and all existing shore excursion reservations are considered final and unfortunately cannot be changed or refunded. Of course if you decide not to pre-reserve shore excursions prior to your cruise, you can still stop by the ship's Shore Excursion Desk, located on Deck 3, on embarkation day, to check availability and purchase excursions. But remember, some excursions may already be full and therefore unavailable.

When your shore excursion is pre-reserved, you will receive excursion tickets delivered to your stateroom on embarkation day. Payment for confirmed excursions is conveniently billed directly to your shipboard account. We unfortunately will not be able to accept payment in advance.

*We are unable to accept attachments with email requests. Please provide the required detail from the Excursion Request Form into a text email.

† If you are not 18 years of age or older, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

Hi all :rotfl:
Sorry I haven't been on line in a couple of days. I was on line last night some and made a few comments :goodvibes UhOOh. Bought water shoes last weak at Wal-mart for the trip. 4.43 a pair :Pinkbounc Getting down to the nitty gritty now I guess. Will call next week about sessions for our 2nd day meet as no excursions are scheduled to meet until 6:00 pm there.. See ya later, tommorrow I am helping the next door nieghbor replace part of thier roof from the storms we had over the summer.. James pirate: aaaaarrrhhh

Bratray - Thank you for the information. Trip should be paid off in the next week, so I'll be making our execursion reservations then.

LostGirls - I can not believe we leave 3 months from tomorrow    My youngest DD got her new suitcase today and she wants to start packing :earboy2:

i am tempted to start packing too,,,,but my family already thinks i'm crazy so that would put me over the edge in their eyes

i've got a corner with a pile of stuff- i just keep collecting things when on sale that i think i will need for the cruise

hurry up Feb and be over!!! :hourglass

I'm with you Bratray. I think I will actually be pulling suitcases out the beginning of March and start throwing the stuff in there (I have a some pile in the closet right now). I need to pull out my packing lists (all 5 of them) and start getting the other miscellaneous stuff (disposable cameras, etc). We're going to purchase a new video camera for this trip, so we need to get going on looking for one. Any one have any recommendations?? We have one now, but I think it's too big and bulky and doubt I'll want to carry it around. The new ones are smaller and some have where you can take digital pictures, so I won't have to carry both around.

Oh, for those who are interested in doing something special for Pirate Night, but they don't want to "dress up", I found this website:

http://www.piratesstore.com/clothes/clothes.php

I thought our family might have matching shirts (tanks for the girls and tshirt for DH), plus a patch and bandana and we're set :teeth:

Tera-
Do you have any links or lists you could send to me about packing?
Thanks! :goodvibes
We were able to book the Dolphin Encounter yesterday - my DD's are on cloud 9!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the lists! I just wanted to look at a couple and compare, and make sure I'm not forgetting to think about anything! :rotfl:
bratray- we did book the Dolphin Discovery through Disney. Our TA told us it would be hard to book on our own as Disney pretty much monopolizes the tour. Don't know if that's true, but that's what she told us. I didn't really do any investigating on that one on my own, so I'm O.K. with going through Disney.

I feel like we must be missing people there doesn't seem to be many Dis'ers
on this cruise!

Maybe we should do another post on the cruise board :cool1: :cool1:

Hi all :cool1:
I have been watching the board also for other May cruisers in our time frame and haven't found one yet that's not in this group. I have heard of only 1 posting beforefor a cruise meey. :confused3 My DW doesn't want to do any excursions this time, but I am trying to get her to go on Capt. Marvins at least-Don't know though :teeth: It is going to be 76+ tomorrow here and in the 70'sfor the rest of the week? :sunny: I found some beads at Sam's club by the bag from Gasparilla here in Tampabay and I am thinking of getting one for Pirate night for the group. pirate: I am looking in the board, just that most of the posts on the board are repeats from past and some can get pretty heated.. Hope you all had a great Valentines day and your sweeties were good to ya  James

Our cruise is finally paid off   We should be booking our excursions in the next week.

Do you find it easier to fill out the form and fax it or just to call customer service??

goofytoo - We're planning on doing the Fury Catamaran excursion too. I heard it was a lot of fun and figure it'll give my girls plenty of time in the water. I'll be pulling out suitcases around March 1st too. I will be waiting on packing clothes for me since I'm still in the process of losing weight. My youngest DD has her outfits all picked out already :teeth:

James - I saw some great pirate beads online that I might order, just need to get myself organized. Been a busy couple of weeks with girls school stuff :earseek:

tera your doing great on your weight loss!!- i have lost about 22 lbs & still going strong..i am even exercising and for me that is saying a lot- i bought a beautiful beaded dress for formal nite (got for 1\2 price) that i am determined to fit into- just gotta keep away from those buffalo wings :)
i called customer service to book the CC fishing and requested a written confirmation which i just got in the mail today

OMG the time is really moving along quick- before ya know it we will be on single digit count down!!!!! (can ya tell i'm excited)

lucky you james, our weather here was a high of 32 degrees today :(

I just called special services and since it was through Dreams unlimited it was the group bookings it was really easy to book all you need is your reservation #.
They faxed me a confirmation it feels good when you get something in writing
The meeting time for Fury was changed to 9:45
Everything that I had read prior says 12:30.
That works out well for us we will do the fury probably go back on the boat, clean up and venture out shopping. The Magic docks at the Punta Lagosta pier it is nice ,the shopping area and Carlos and Charlies are right there. It is so convienient. pirate:
Brat Ray and Tera congratulations to you both on your weight loss that is awesome!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
James you are so lucky your weather is nice it has been terrible here in Maine today is is raining and sleeting YUCK!

My DH will be in Fort Myers in March with his brother delivering some books to the Red sox he is so excited for the warm weather I wish I could go but this is a business trip. :sad2:

I think we are going to pass on Palo for dinner this time
We are going to do Brunch for sure!

If you love seafood this is YUMMMMMMMYYYYY

goofy we booked through DU too, with the group booking- got a fantastic price- when i compared our price for a cat 8 with 2 adults and 1 child to the DCL prices it was $1000 less
what cat are you in? :flower1:

We booked a cat 6 we are in stateroom 6580
I think we booked last April.
Dreams got us a great deal Under 4000$ That is for the 3 of us.
The same cabin Category is now $6093. through Disney.
I have only good things to say about Merrie at Dreams she is very helpful and patient.
I would book with them again.
I have booked all of my other trips through AAA and I find I can do better myself doing a little reasearch.
This is our third disney cruise I love a my veranda.
Nothing like sitting out there reading a book listening to the waves with a big fruity drink in my hand. I just love the Ocean.
I wish they had Hammocks out there so you can take a little snooze.

Tera
how old did you say your girls were?
My DS is 12.
We really liked snorkeling at Castaway cay last time.
I have read great things about Fury Do you have a passporter book.
I have read it over and over evertime I pick it up I find something new to read.

Are we at 79 days ???? :teacher:

Bratray - Congratulations on losing the 22 pounds, that's awesome.

Gooftytoo - My oldest is 12 (turns 13 in May) and my youngest just turned 10 years old today (she's home sick today though :guilty: ) It'll be nice for the kids to know someone ahead of time. My kids are pretty outgoing, so meeting new friends shouldn't be a problem. How's your son? Yes I have a passporter, but I haven't picked it up in a couple of weeks  I need to start putting our reservation information in there now so I don't lose anything.

We are at 79 days!!!!
