WE ARE GOING ON THE 7 DAY DISNEY MAGIC WITH OUR TWO DAUGHTERS AGES 5 AND 4. WHAT ARE THE "CAN'T MISS" THINGS TO DO?

IS THERE A FORMAL NIGHT? IS IT REALLY "FORMAL"?

WAHT ARE THE BEST THINGS FOR MY DAUGHTERS TO DO?

ANY TIPS ON THE CLUB FOR THE KIDS?

WHAT ARE THE BEST EXCURSIONS - KEY WEST IS CANCELLED FOR US - A SECOND DAY AT CASTAWAY CAY IS BEING SUBSTITUTED

WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR ANNIVERSARY AND REALLY WANT TO MAKE THIS A FANTASTIC VACATION

THANKS FOR ANY HELP AS WE ARE CLUELESS ABOUT THE CRUISE AND WANT TO ENJOY EVERY MINUTE

Dorisdan.......first if all which cruise are you on getting 2 days at CC?? Is it the Western before Thanksgiving?? On our Eastern for formal night most of the ladies had black dresses and the men had dark suits with ties. Me, I had dress slacks and suitcoat....no tie. DW had a dark pants suit. DD's on the other hand "dressed up". What about the romantic escape package. It includes massage, palo ressies, and a few other things. On our 3 cruises DD's weren't interested in the clubs so I can't help you there.

Glad to help a LIer (I'm from Merrick orig)

Cant miss things-
1.Herc, Golden Mickeys, Disney Dreams...do not miss any of these
2.Bingo on last night - lots of fun....big jackpot
3.Palo-Unique and memorable dining experience
4. shopping in mickeys mates and Treasure Ketch
5. Character photo opps in atrium

-There is one formal and one semi formal night ....for men, dark suit that can be worn on both nights is appropriate...for women, dress accordingly

-daughters will like the Oceaneers Club....as most kids do...they will be in separate groups though (3-4, 5-7 have separate groups)

-cant advise you on excursions....not our thing....we are shoppers, not excursioners

You'll have an amazing time - just be sure you do your research on this board as well as the others recommended on this thread

THE REASON FOR 2 DAYS AT CASTAWAY CAY IS THE KEY WEST POWERBOAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IS TAKING PLACE ON NOV 21 SO CRUISE SHIPS CAN'T STOP AT KET WEST

another activity that happens once on the seven day, at least i think it is only once, is Tea with Wendy. I don't know all the details, and my son was interested in doing that, but i know it was a big hit with the little girls on our cruise!

DD6 in the past(when she was 4 & 5) has enjoyed: "Island Magic" show with the characters (Buena Vista Theatre), as well as the evening shows-Hercules, Disney Dreams, and the Farewell Variety Show.
In the Oceaneers Club she enjoyed "Do-Si-Do w/ Snow White, Pumba's/Goofy's Pajama Party, and making flubber. The first year she loved playing dress up with the Disney Princess costumes. I'm not sure, however, if they're still available on the Magic.
She loved the Mickey slide, as well as the Goofy pool.
She also enjoyed Tea with Wendy.
We always made sure DD had a short afternoon nap. That way she enjoyed the evening activities without being too tired.

The kids really enjoy the family cabarette shows that are between dinner and the main show in the Walt Disney Theater. These take place in Rockin' Bar D from 7:45 to 8:15 (enough time to finish dinner and get to the WDT)
