We have gone on the DCL on points this past Nov. and was completely thrilled. We only use our points every few years due to DH hardly ever gets any time off work.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever done the Alaska Cruise using their points. It seems like an awful lot of points but it is pretty much all we plan on using our points for. (cruising that is) With a once in a while visit to the WLV.

For next 4th of July it's about $1300 each for the same level cabin as DVC charges 230 points. That's less than $6 pp return. Pluse you'll lose out on any specials and the protections and flexibility that using cash entails. You may be better off renting your points and paying cash.

While it is expensive using points, the trip itself is fantastic. I didn't go on Holland America to Alaska but princess cruise line . They are pretty close to same itinierary but holland americac had great docking at the small villages. Its a once in a lifetime thrill ...the scenery is incredible and the side tours great from the ship. You will love it.

Rather than re-post all the information, I'll just point you to this link from last year with TONS of info on the cruise. If you have other questions, feel free to post or PM me :)

Here's the old thread...
