One roaster full of stuffed cabbage. :)

I started at 7:00 this morning. Just finished about 2:45. I did have a trip to the store thrown in, plus had to drop off and pick up DD at softball practice. I'm TIRED! ::yes::

I made the stuffed cabbage (holupki) to have on Easter - along with ham, kolbassi and pascha (Easter bread) and some other family favorites. :)

What are you having for Easter dinner?

Well, I didn't list all of the ingredients, Jenny, but the recipe that I use is pretty basic - about 10 items plus salt and pepper. If you keep kosher, you couldn't use my recipe for Rosh Hashannah though - there is bacon in it. :(

Guess I should have asked what everyone is having for their holiday dinner! :) So what's on the menu for tonight, Jenny?

Stuffed cabbage, if I can wrangle up an invite. :teeth: :thumbsup2

If not, probably the usual fare, ham (and turkey) with some sort of scalloped potato. :)

Ham here but I love when my Mom makes those.

YUMMY STUFF!!!

Hey Bob! If you find yourself back in PA on Easter, you and the family are more than welcome! ::yes:: There will be PLENTY!

If we were having dinner with my side of the family that is what we would be having too! But DH's family does not care for ham too much (although it is the centerpiece of the traditional church Easter Basket) and so we are doing the stuffed cabbage as well. I hope to have lots of leftovers so that I can pack some away in the freezer to have some summer night. :)

For Easter dinner we are having:

Ham
Leg of Lamb
Asparagus
Strawberry and broccoli salad
scalloped potatoes (I think...or party potatoes)
rolls
dessert

Then some pepto bismal to wash it all down. ;)

I love cabbage rolls. We have a large Lebanese community here in town and they host a dinner every year with the BEST cabbage rolls and kibba ever! :thumbsup2 I tried to make them at home, but it's not the same.

I knew that the matzoh was like a dumpling, but I have never had one. :(

And I DID know what haroset was after all! I remember having it at a Seder meal that we had at our church some years back. It is to remind us of the mortar that was used for the bricks that the Jews used when enslaved by Egypt, right?
