Pardon me, I haven't been following this forum as much as I used to, and I tried to do a search, but no luck.

As you all probably know, WDW did the "get 7 nights for the price of 4" promotion in the Falls of '08 and '09. Sometimes this was called "4/7" or "7/4" or whatever.

With the economy still not out of the doldrums, has there been any speculation, rumors, etc etc, of this promotion coming back again this Fall? I'm just asking.

(and if this was discussed here recently, my apologies, just post the link to the thread and I'll post there, TIA)

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

I remember last year - the news of a new 7/4 deal broke on these forums before it was official. The CM's on the phone were instructed to not mention it until it was actually live, but people who knew about it from here could get the deal if they mentioned it. There was about a 48-hr "window" before it was officially live.

Otherwise, anyone heard anything this year yet?

We all have our opinions, and I certainly hope not. I hated the promotion. It packed the park with bodies on a week when for the prior 5 years was DEAD.

I know some here love it, and I respect your opinion as well, but I for one hope it's a dead horse that will never resurface.

I loved the 7/4 promotion! We were going to do 4 nights @ CSR instead my fiance decided lets use the 7/4 promo to stay at Poly...I'd always wanted to stay @ Poly but never had. Lo and behold he had something up his sleeve and we got engaged that trip:lovestruc Which means it still wouldve been a great trip, if we did do 4 nights @ CSR, but the 7/4 allowed us the upgrade.

As a DVC'ers and avid WDW traveler, I hate free dining.
As an authorized WDW travel agent, I love it:rotfl:

Exactly. A travel agent WOULD like a promotion that packs people into the parks to capacity. As one of the people in that overly-crowded park, I reserve the right NOT to like it.
Free dining brings in crowds, but in my opinion, and my experience, much smaller crowds. Free dining also maxes out the TS restaurants, which is fine as well. Full bodies don't move as fast, and the people are spending more time in restaurants eating, rather than walking around the parks. Most people eat a LOT more on dining plan than off when every bit of food costs them.
The only real problem I see with free dining is the bathrooms stay packed with waiting lines from all the people who overate.:rotfl2::lmao:

I agree with you, not as a TA, but as a regular WDW fan:rotfl:
