7/24/2011 5 Night Disney Dream cruise

Transportation dilemma-not sure if we should take DCL transportation or a private car service--decisions, decisions!

Are you guys flying in the day before? I guess it depends on where you fly into and what time you want to get to the port. We would have used DCL but we are not flying into Orlando. Cost less to fly into Melbourne for us. Hotel has deal with Travelynx so they will do the transport for us.

I'm so excited that we are getting closer to PARTY TIME!!!!:banana::banana:

:confused3
We haven't made hotel ressies yet and might try to squeeze into a CI&S the night before if we can get a good priceline rate. Or stay with friends & family within an hour drive from port and pay to park. Hope to have those plans firmed up before the weekend is over!

But I've also always wanted to check out Cocoa Beach. Yes, indecision is my middle name!

We got a deal with the Courtyard in Cocoa. I'm normally indecisive and wait until the las minute like you but this time I hopped on a deal. Now the Courtyard is showing 170.00 a night! :scared1: I am NOT feeling that price right now!

We are flying in the day before, staying at the MCO Hyatt. We will most likely end up taking DCL transportation, but I was just open to other ideas.

Hi this is Dennis although I'm entering this chat a little late I was wondering if theres a seperate chat for all the teens??? I'll be cruising with my wife Susan and my DD- Samantha( 15)almost 16 and her friend Cailin, 16. This will be my family's 10th cruise with DCL. :cool1:

Welcome Dennis and family!

So I realized that our cat 9 gty room that was assigned is a handicap accessible room. We don't need that type of room, so I was reading some opinions on the boards. I have read good and bad, does anyone here have any experience with them?

We need a kidsuite at CI & S. I originally booked at full price using AAA. I have since rebooked twice for lower rates, just a few days ago I got the kidsuite for $111 including all taxes. I thought that was a pretty good rate.

I check the rates every few days. I also signed up for the online offers, and get discounts offered to me through emails every few days. Try that route to get a good deal, if priceline doesn't come through.

My docs didn't arrive today!!! Oh why has DCL forsaken me!?!? :lmao: just kidding. I will be on the lookout for them because heaven help me if DDs check the mail and see them before we do!

Don't worry! I got mine (and my brother's???) today, but Mom hasn't gotten hers yet.:confused3;)

How Exciting to those that have received their docs!!!

We booked with DVC using our points. Does this mean DVC will be sending me the documents not DCL???

There will be 10 of us for the cruise and we all can't wait!

I have a ds-13, who is totally into baseball and not too worried about him on the cruise but I also have a dd that is 17.5 and worry about her having fun at night. Hanging with 14 year olds isn't something I think she will enjoy.

We cruise often but usually on RCCL.

Does anyone have teens closer in age to my dd?

Thanks so much.

We got our cruise documents yesterday also. Can't believe they got to us so quickly in the UK.

Congratulations for you!
:sad1: WAAA for me :upsidedow

Can I ask those in the United States that have received their documents, how did you get them? USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc?
Inquiring minds want to know :worship:

Thanks.

My 11 year old DS just found out that he is finally getting his braces off 12 days before we sail. He is over the moon. His orthodontist is a DCL fan, and was telling us all kinds of stories about his experiences today.

DS can now eat his Mickey Bars without having to worry about knocking a wire loose. Life is wonderful. ;-)

We just returned from the orthodontist having my DD 14 braces off. She got them on the next to last day of 6th grade, and had them removed the next to last day of 8th grade. I'm sure she is ODing on gum right now, as she has unwillingly avoided it for the past two years.

We have not received our cruise docs yet, but we transferred our ressie to DU for the OBC. When we have used them in the past, the docs came later than other people who booked directly through DCL. But I don't care because no matter what, we're boarding the Dream on 7/24 .
