7/24/2011 5 Night Disney Dream cruise

It is about -10 outside in Maine right now :scared1:and I am freezing but keeping warm by reading all the great posts about the Dream. I can't wait to double dip at CC:cool1: Hope everyone has a great week:banana:

Count us in too! Since we're at the 6 month mark I thought we'd join in! I booked this trip so I can spend my 40th bday away!! It'll be myself, DH, DS12 and DS8 (9 by then!) With 0 degree weather today in New England, I'm looking forward to being on the Dream!

Are you sure you'll be dug out by then, Cheryl??:confused3:rotfl:

Welcome Cheryl and Mathgeek!!!!:cheer2::cool1::banana::rockband:

Thanks for the welcomes! With the snow headed toward the Midwest in the next couple days, I hope we're dug out by then too!

Count us in too.

It will be our third cruise, and 1st on the Dream. There will be myself, DW (Rachel), DS (Ben - 12) and DD (Katie - 11). We'll be arriving from the UK the day before so hopefully no delays, otherwise we'll be in trouble.

Looking forward to the double dip at CC, although we have been lucky enough to have this on both our previous cruises.

DS will be 13 on last night of the cruise.

Following the cruise we'll be staying in Kissimmee for a few weeks.

Paul

:banana:Welcome Paul! Our twin boys will be 14 by the time of the cruise and our oldest will be 18; they're DCL veterans!

Starting to get excited - it'll be here before we know it!:cool1:

Anybody waiting to book their airfare? might want to check out the rates:sad2:as price of crude oil jumped due to world events.

I've been watching my travel dates since Xmas and was waiting for the prices to drop, today the flight i wanted increased dramatically. Wound up settling for the later flight, figuring it'll still give me 5 - 6 hours @ the MK pre cruise. I booked with Southwest & hoping that it'll drop between now & then & we'll have a credit for our Dec travel back to WDW.:wizard:

Pulled out my records from last summer & im paying $100 more for 2 people in airfare than I did for the 3 of us the same time period last summer.

My son has def jumped ship, so it's just me & DH this cruise (1st time ever!). Kiddo requested we head to Myrtle Beach for some sun & golf the end of June before he heads off to college in the fall. Spirit air came to town :woohoo:so I was able to make that quickie trip cheap & doable at least;)

I know what you mean about the airfare. DH (Bob) has been looking at all the different flights and airlines almost every night. We can get down to Florida but we can't get back after the cruise. I keep telling him we will just have to do a B2B. :cool1:
We are getting ready for a snow/ice storm tomorrow. I can't wait till July 24:yay::yay:

Aack! My ticker is missing!!! I better get a new one! Wouldn't want to forget when we're sailing!:rolleyes1:rotfl:

We've decided to drive. The drive down is going to be rushed and suck, but we have plenty of time to get home. I keep checking air fare, but right now it would be $800 at least to fly, plus a rental car, so even though gas is going to be expensive, it will still be cheaper to drive.

What are we supposed to put in the fish extenders?

Hi Donetta, I think you intended to post this on the July 19 meet thread (based on your signature). Take good care of the ship for us, we'll be boarding when you are done with her! :boat:

I'm not the only one hitting this milestone this summer! :-)

I turn 40 two weeks after we get back - so I'm celebrating while we're on the ship, dang it. Besides - WDW turns 40 this year too - so I figure I'm celebrating with Mickey on multiple levels. :cool1:

July can't get here fast enough!

Kris

i can't even remember 40:laughing:, wanna trade?;) you're as young as you feel & on a DCL cruise we're all big kids!

Just found this thread! We too are sailing on this cruise! Taking my "kids" who will be 24 & 21 ... not so little anymore! This will be our first Disney cruise! SOOOOO excited!

I can't wait until July 24th. So far our spring in Maine and most of New England has been more like winter :rotfl: Double Dip here we come:cool1::cool1:
