Typical Male behavior - give them a beer and they go ga-ga!
I was wondering about this. A Christmas cruise sounds wonderful but is it really worth spending the extra money? As I said, I would love to do one but I'm going to have to wait until after mom is no longer with us - I think she'd kill me if I went away from those 2 holidays. Isn't it funny how we hate to disappoint our mothers?

- wonder what happened with my kids?

Just Kidding!
Ditto!WE have been to Disney for all holidays except NYEve!! We always travel in high season because I teach. WE are in Disney every Easter and love it. Im not sure about this year as we just bought furniture and have tuition for the first time with Carley in Catholic High School.I am also feeling the economy guilt! I think if you are veterans and stay on property and have seen it all, the crowds are not a concern because you flow with them. We are always in the park at opening, leave mid day to enjoy the pool and come back to epcot for dinner each night, and more park time.
Sallie - out here we are FACTS (basically automated payments - they start in July and end in April - we get 2 months off before we start. Also, I estimate that we went from $5100 just 2 years ago to $6200 (and that's not even counting the mandatory parents hours! )

Be prepared - be very prepared! I feel like doing this

every time a new month rolls around.
You can see Linus's costume here . . .
OH How cute! See - Im not the only crazy momma here - although I was a bit

about walking Isis with her hot dog costume but she didn't seem to mind it. She did however, mind the angel wings and halo - quite appropriate for a dog that is black ....and white.
Good luck on your first day back, Caroline!!!!!
Izzy, I love the luggage tag idea. You never have enough of those darn things. Maybe we could do that and something else that we could wear so we could identify eachother on the ship. Maybe something simple like a sort of card that we could slip in the clear pocket of a lanyard (we've all got tons of those) - similar to the name tag we did on the Med, but maybe with just the graphic instead.
You are much more creative than I and may get more ideas when you research. I still use the pen (I think it was from Jeanne???) and it reminds me of our Med cruise. Ahhhhhhh.
Hope your first day back was a good one!
I agree we all have lanyards but please can we order some? I need to add to my collection for each specialty cruise. If no one wants to head this up I guess I can find out from a friend who ordered on the EB PC. The problem I think - unless we go with Danielle's suggestions (if they do lanyards) is that they usually require a minimum and price discounts don't occur until after several 100's right?
Jumping in for a quick hello on my first break! Things are going well, we're all just trying to get back in the swing of things!
Hope things go smoothly the rest of the day!
I was also thinking of getting those DIS green gel bracelets and pens as well as the luggage tags
OH! Love the idea of the pens. One observation that I noticed - we ordered them on the last cruise - your right - men and boys tend to wear them more but they are harder to see unless you put tons of them on your wrist. Especially if we are going to wear long sleeves. I bought some on the last cruise, wore them for about 3 days and then kept forgetting to put them on. The lanyard you can't forget because you have to get off the ship or use them to hold your buying card. Anyone else with an observation of their own?
Ok, it's not the best picture of the sample, but I went to Vista print to see how the image would look on a similar pen to the ones I purchased and this is what it would look like:
I really like these. Please can we have some?

I used my Med pen up within 3 months. I thought it was Mary Jo? Was it her or Jeanne?
Thanks -- a really good photographer like Laura would do a better job -- it's fairly dark with lots of smoke and they are moving around a bit so my photos look a little blurry . . .
Thanks Julie but I end up having to use (for my night shots) a monopod or tripod as my wrists are giving out. They do help but then again so does having an image stablizer lens. But shooting in the dark is one of the hardest things to do for me. You have got to be super still and smooth - and not having much patience, that is like being Superwoman for 1 second.
BTW, where was this parade held? I know you mentioned it before but I forgot - love the ambiance.
