Sure...if you say so. I get lost past the stadiums, but I can find Franklin Mills. :thumbsup2 Don't even get me started on NJ, I get even more lost there. :confused3 Although, I can find the Metro Park Station to take me into NYC - other than that I'm lost over the DE Mem. Bridge. :sad2:

My dad and I used to go to Phillies games a lot in the 70's and early 80's while I was in school. Those were fun times, getting tickets in the 300 level under the covered section in case it rained or if the burning sun was out. I did get to 1 game at the new stadium with him the year before his death. We both liked the new stadium.

I've also been to Tropicana Stadium and really liked it there. It was so nice to go to a baseball game in the middle of summer and not roast to death or get sunburnt. None of us realized the stadium was covered and had a/c.

I was a BIG fan of the Phillies in the 70s......I could probably still tell you most of the line-up! Sorry to hear that you lost your dad, I do like the new stadium, it's definitely more fun, I usually get cheap tix and then sit at Harry the K's bar for the whole game! Next year, we should meet and watch a game together with all the people on our cruise from the Philly region!:dance3:

Hi...

I started this website to help capture facts and information about the different ports/countries we will be visiting. Check it out at www.magicalbalticcruise.com and let me know what you think (you can sign in the Guestbook)! It's a work in progress...I'll be making frequent updates, so check back often. I'm open to suggestions on the type of information you'd like to see and can add it. Thought it would be nice to have a single source that references all the information we will need about these amazing countries.

We're on the June 24th Baltic Cruise...hope you enjoy!

Lisa

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :yay:  :hippie: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :lmao: :goodvibes :surfweb: :woohoo: :flower3: :grouphug:

HI All!!
Well.. Jimmy and I went the Disney /Four Seasons Meeting last night. We were expecting to be taken to a big conference room with lots of people, when instead, man greeted us in the lobby and took us upstairs to a small conference room with only 3 men and a woman who had video equipment set up. I thought- Oh no- what have I gotten us into now.. of course Jimmy shoots me the evil eye.. and I think- they’ve got us now!!! But I specifically asked if we were going to be asked to buy something when they called, and they said no on the phone. So we shook hands with everyone were introduced, and sat at the table.
There were lots of treats, but we didn’t eat, as we had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into. Well, to make along story half short- it was a meeting to really hear the ideas of the Disney Vacationer and their feelings about a Four Seasons high end resort on Disney property. It seems they are also planning a real “neighborhood” on this enormous property, which is near the Ft Wilderness area. Our questions were centered more around the community rather than the hotel although they did start by asking us how we felt about Disney having a high-end resort and what we would expect to see there and the amenities it should have. At the same time Jimmy and I both said we not expect to see buses!! ( I really don’t like taking the buses to the parks- I know many do- but I like the monorail and the boats or driving.) I am a spoiled brat at times! He said many people interviewed said the same thing about buses. He said an alternative may be private cars- smart cars/luxury vans ??? They are not sure, but they get the message about the buses.
OMG!! the drawings of this private community were breath- taking- 5 magnificent house/villa renderings with a Spanish/Tuscan/Mediterranean flare- tile roofs, intricate architecture stone/courtyards/ and right on the golf course and many lake-water views! One neighborhood will have a view of the fireworks each night. The homes will range from 3,000 sq. feet to 7 or 8,000 sq feet and range in price from 1.7 million to 6 million !!! These are not vacation homes to me, although the Disney rep said it could go both ways- year round living or renting them out- I guess- as you own these homes year round, not as timeshares.
You will have full use of the hotel, complimentary lifetime, year round tickets to all the parks, concierge service, grounds keeping, spa, fitness center, a clubhouse with every amenity you could imagine and I cant remember all the other “perks”! They also said a major perk was being able to say you live “in Disney”.
I must say, if I had it I would probably buy one in a minute- the drawings were really breathtaking, and believe it or not probably worth every penny of the estimated cost per house.
I would love to retire there although Jimmy and I both say we would never retire to Florida for many reasons. After seeing this- I could change my mind. It truly will be a luxury resort and community.
I felt kind of special that I was being asked my little opinion about this project. We were there for an hour and 45 min, and the time flew.
The Disney Rep said the hotel should be competed by 2011, and the first “set of homes would go up shortly after that. They are panning 3 or 4 “neighborhoods- 40 homes at a time probably not going up for sale until 2014????
I have to go cook or Jimmy will be on here wining again… Ill be back!!!!!

Anyone want to buy one with us???? We are very easy to live with, we have effervescent personalities- and of course you all know I have a wonderful sense of humor!! What else could you want in a living arrangement????
:yay: :cutie: :cool1: :upsidedow

Ohhhh Sallie we're in :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes I'll sell my house, I'll sell my husband, I'll sell my kids I'll even sell myself....well that's if anyone was mad enough to pay for me :lmao: :lmao:

That sounds like the stuff dreams are truely made of

Why do think Disney released and srted booking for these cruises so much earlier than the 2007 European cruises ?

We booked the Med cruise on release day which I think was April 6th 2006 15 months before sailing. This time we all booked on release day which was 21 months before sailing.

Do you think DCL think they may have problems getting people to fill up all the cruises with this economic situation or they knew that us mad, nutty compulsive planners enjoy the months and months and months and months of gossiping...I mean planning :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

If they plan on doing Alaskan, Arctic cruises then they won't be able to use either the Magic or the Wonder as cruise ship that sail those seas have to be specially constructed to withstand the ice, so one of the new ships would have to be used, if DCL were going to go there.

I can sure your point of getting all those deposit dollars. I bet that adds up to a pretty penny.

It's about 1/2 million dollars per cruise if they fill it up. They have to be wondering about the economic situation. A major recession is bound to impact all the cruise lines.

Hey...

.... just passing through... bought a new desktop to edit my HD Video footage - just set it up and tonight I picked up the editing software from Best Buy. Maybe tomorrw I may order new photo editing software (Lightroom v2) along with DVD tutorials. I'm gearing up to bump everything I do with video and still images to a new level. I decided against going with new MAC machines and software on account of the cost and suggestion by many that I could accomplish everything desired at a fraction of the cost on a PC platform. I figure I spent near 1/3rd of what a similar MAC set up with software would have cost. I wonder whether this will prove true or just end up a waste of time and $$? In the end - if nothing less - I now have a powerful desktop which will ALMOST run the most powerful PC games at moderate frame and resolution rates. Or at least so after I upgrade the video card further. Eventually I hope to set up dual monitors ... probably only 22" sized as those are a lot cheaper than twin 24" (or larger). Or who knows... maybe I'll go with twin 24s AFTER I upgrade the V-card. For now I'm using an old 19" LCD screen while I get used to the new applications and so forth.

At any rate, we're about to depart for our Princess Sapphire cruise this weekend - and now I'll get to do the Zip line I skipped on our REPO, and Julianna will get her swim with the Dolphins that we skipped on account of alternate plans made with the families gathered in our group in AP. And maybe we'll do horses or similar somewhere. OR maybe not?

dogdrive.gif

As for everything else... things are good... the kids are scoring goals in Soccer... and ... and ... and... oh yeah... we booked 5 cabins for the July 18th Magic sailing for the Northern port rotation. We do have some potential instability in following through with these plans though. There are a number of shifting issues in our group (not us as we remain flexible in following the consensus)... and as such we might actually switch to another cruise line OR we might even switch to cruising another region then Northern Europe. Given the potential instability of the July Disney plans we temporarily had a backup reservation for the April Repo - which was the 1st choice for Alicia and I... in the end however, we decided it was best to just hold ONE reservation to travel in Europe. It's tough though to plan anything under these shifting circumstances with folks favoring conflicting factors for 2010. I have not taken the time to skim back to see whos doing what sailing... and so forth... but it suffices we decided the September REPO was not going to work for us. And as I recall - that was the most popular. Sigh... guess we'll miss most of ya who are on that sailing. And with any luck we'll sail with everyone HERE in July of 2010!

Alicia and I are likely to sail Disney in 2009 - it's just we are not certain which one it wil be this time. Most likely we'll do something semi-spontaneously again when Alicia and the kids get restless.

Oh well... time to scoot for now... I gotta burn some DVDs for the girl scout troop - and friends before we shift into high gear to cruise this weekend...

Good Morning

When are they making all these group Palo ressie's hopefully sea days, and how do you get on the list?:dance3:

If you're looking Barb I am here, and before you ask it's chocolate digestives, but I have to analyze a £33k mobile phone bill this afternoon so I'm a little busy for chit chat at the moment...sorry.

Good Morning

When are they making all these group Palo ressie's hopefully sea days, and how do you get on the list?:dance3:

Palo will only be open for brunch on the sea days . . . people are faxing in requests to Palo for the private room . . . then about 30 days before the cruise they will give the room to people and their groups in order of time and date the request came in. I know Mike's group is full -- not sure about the other one. :confused3

I grew in Philadelphia so I'm a big Phillies fan.......I now live about 30 minutes away in Bucks County which is across from Trenton, New Jersey near the Delaware River.:goodvibes

Still 3-2, bottom of the 7th.......popcorn::

We're just below the city in Delaware County. Not far from the airport.
