There was a really good TV programme on last night about London. It's one in a series of The Greatest Cities in The World and narrated by Griff Rhys Jones. Last week it was about New York and I think at some point they are also doing Paris.

Anyway I've put the link here to the series website for anyone who wants a look and stuck it on the 1st page.

See, I was thinking the same thing over here! I had 3 pages to catch up on over night! Not alot, but more than most other threads!

Oh yeah I forgot, and you are charging boxes of Froot Loops for admission.

But you could just charter a coach to take everyone. :lmao:
Just so I'm clear on this, is it going to be one box per person or family? :rotfl2:

Yea that's EXACTLY what I meant Philadelphia cheese team :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Now, are you aware that there is also a football team and thier fans call themselves "Cheeseheads"?

And just so you know, it's the Minnesota Vikings fans that are Cheeseheads! Yes, they really wear those to games!
Hmm, maybe we'll all have to get cheese hats to wear on the cruise! We might have to have Mike change some of those vikings hats in the picture to cheese! :lmao:

I did the best I could to post my pic.......in the end Ken & I are in the avatar!!:goodvibes

Sallie--I think you should put them on propeller hats! It is so great reading all of your notes!

I can't wait to see Izzie and Paul and the boys again! Glad Dan is with us too!

Julie, keep me in mind when you start looking at flights!

DCL called me yesterday with two bookings. After I booked on opening day on my own, they were calling with reservations from my request to inventory control. I canceled my booking but kept the one for Jan & Howie as it was better than what Jan was able to book. If I had not booked, what were my chances I would have that phone call.:confused3

We will definately do FE. That sure seems way ahead of the game!

so a stove! :thumbsup2
But it's just the burner part, so a cooktop.
They also call a broiler a grill. :confused3 Silly Brits, you would think they would come up with names that make sense.

Actually Cheeseheads are Green Bay Packers fans, not Viking fans.

OK, I'm feeling really stupid now! They most certainly are! OK, cancel the cheese on our heads! :rolleyes1 I'm not sure where my brain was, it certainly wasn't with me!

I'm glad we aren't going to be wearing 'cheesehead' hats now. Do you realize how much room they would have taken up in the suitcases?!? :scared1: Sorry, I'm not wearing a viking hat either, nope, no way no how!

I think your brain is on it's way to the Baltics to get a head start on it's vacation. :woohoo:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That just might be where my brain is! Either that or it's trying to figure out how we are going to pay for this cruise. I work for Boeing and have been on strike for 5 1/2 weeks with no end in sight.

I know this is going to sound really stupid, and please pardon my ignorance, but why are you on strike ???

Do you work at Boeing that was built where the Northlands Racetrack used to be?

Ok so having got into the office 11 hours ago I'm going home now.......but don't worry I'll be back online in about an hour.

I'm glad you asked this question, I had no idea Boeing was on strike. :confused3
Not ignorant or stupid at all. I would imagine that most people outside of the Seattle WA, Wichita Kansas and Portland OR areas have no clue that 27000 Boeing employees are on strike. It has totally shut down production of all planes. It involves the employees who are directly involved with the building of the planes; mechanics, painters, the people who move parts around (me), facilities, etc. Basically any of the "hands on" people involved with production.
The major issues right now are outsourcing of some jobs. Boeing wants to be able to have outside vendors be able to deliver parts that were made outside the company deliver the parts right to the planes or assembly lines. Right now they are just delivered to the factories and then Boeing employees deliver them to the correct places.
The outsourcing directly affects me as I'm one of the people that moves parts.
There are also pension and insurance issues, but outsourcing is the major one.
Here are websites for the union side and Boeing's side, if anyone is interested.

Sorry, if I gave more info that people needed. It's just really depressing me right now.

Do you work at Boeing that was built where the Northlands Racetrack used to be?
No, I work at their plant in Auburn WA, just south of Seattle. We make all the tubes and ducts for all models of planes.
