Joy of joys THE NEW WASHING MACHINE HAS ARRIVED and is plumbed in. Boy oh boy it will be tested tomorrow :yay: :yay: :yay: :laundy:

SO THEY CAN BOOK MY TRIP THIS WEEK................:goodvibes

Travel agents operate in a few different ways, some get a reservation and 'hold' it for you for 24 hours or so, others like to get your credit card details so they know you are serious and prioritize those first.

Actually, I started using this TA from a recommendation of a DISer on a DCL cruise in 2005..........they've been wonderful and have booked me for my last few cruises...........really terrific, so I guess this is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lovestruc

Could well be, but some TA's are asking for credit card details upfront, I gave mine in on Wednesday.

I going to use Dreams this time round....the TA I've used on all our other trips was FANTASTIC but he has now moved on so I'm hoping all those folks that have raved about Dreams were right

Dreams are very good they have different processes to some other TA's and they 'hold' your reservation for 24/48 hours without Credit card.

So some Questions..........................
What port is everyone looking forward to the most, what do you plan to do?
Definately looking forward to Tallin again. Loved walking around the old town.

Would you stay at the beach at Warnemünde or getting a DCL tour or train to Berlin?
Definately staying in Warnemunde, loved that quaint town this past summer and didn't want to leave. I'm hoping the day is as nice as we had and can enjoy the huge beach that is there. Wish we had know more about it before getting off the ship. Also, DH is looking forward to sitting and enjoying several German beers that can had for very cheap.

Do you plan to walk Copenhagen, what atracts you to this cruise over the new Med ones with Malta and Tunis?
Will just walk around Copenhagen again and hope I don't have a bum foot again. Those cobblesones aren't the easiest thing to walk on.
I don't really have any interest in the Med ports, except for Malta. Plus I don't want to have to deal with the humidity of the Me.

Pre and post stay plans? DLP or London, (I will stay in London before and after the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: )
We'll be getting into London on Friday and spend the day shopping at Harrod's or wandering around the city. Hoping on Saturday for friends to come up from the south and spend the day with us again. Will have to go home straight after the cruise.
My brother and his family will be going with us and they haven't been to London so we may have to show them around, but we will get to Harrod's this time, missed it in July and DD was not happy with that. Yes, she's been before.
We've done DLP twice and don't have much interest in going back so soon.

We are also looking forward to going to Oslo and Stockholm for the first time. Norway has been a place we all want to visit.

For everyone that likes to start planning early here's a link to a Warnemunde website: http://www.virtualtourist.com/trave...Warnemuende-9595/TravelGuide-Warnemuende.html

Thank you for that but this is a little early even for someone like me. We really ought to put these handy links in one place so we can easily refer back to them in about 12 - 18 months time.

Has anyone got an idea of how the folks did it on the Med thread, I joined that one sooooooooo late all the organising bit had been done months and months before ???

That's a good thought on keeping all info posts in a central location. I have a lot more of them I can share. I just happened to see this one just before I logged onto here today and thought I would post it to get some wheels turning or else make everyone think I'm bonkers :dance3: .
