I've been dying, literally dying to go to Vegas and DH refuses to take me. Seeign as I have some many things booked for the next couple of years, I can't push the envelope but I can't wait for December 27th to get here. Vegas is about 4 1/2 for me - 4 for DH so I'm anxious to go.

I plan to do as little as possible that involves my brain working as I can, spent most of today at the lawyer's office and my brain hurts. So I'm thinking tomorrow DD & I will go stimulate the economy and head to the mall for a while.

Mall! Brings back wonderful memories of shopping for hours! BTW, they just opended up a H&M store at a mall & DD now wants gift certificates from here.

This is for Laura, and anyone else whose signature is vertically challenged. I reworked the logo a little bit, so that the font could be bigger when you shrink it down really teeny tiny.

If you want to use it, here you go. This is it shrunken down to the same size as what's in your signature. I like the original better, but you can read this one a little bit better when it's so small. (If you don't want to use it, don't worry about hurting my feelings. I'll just cry in the corner here. )

Southampton is about an hour and 45 minutes from here on a good day...in the winter, when its raining, and most people have handed in their summer rental keys!! The problem is that when you get close, the highway ends and you have to merge into one lane of traffic going out east, and one lane coming back west- it is a true nightmare in the summer, and unless you have a private plane or helicopter (which many do) it could take up to 3 hours.
I live about 30 min from Manhattan- again, on a good day- The Hamptons are beautiful- my favorite is East Hampton- less glitz and more down to Earth with its old fashioned town and shops!!!

maybe one of the ones in NYC would be closer for you then!

The boys room is almost done being painted. I just have to put one more coat of paint on the accent wall after this one dries. Nick insisted that he wanted a red wall. Well, first he wanted the whole room red, then he tried for a wall and the ceiling, so we finally agreed on one wall. I have to give him credit, it's already looking pretty good. I think it will be really nice after the second coat is on and the tape comes off. The only problem is that there's so much furniture in such a small room that you won't see much wall anyway. Oh well. At least the Buzz Lightyear cosmic blue is gone!

As Christmas and Channukah coincide this year does anyone fancy doing a Ballyhooers holiday card exchange ???​

A reminder​

You PM me your full name and postal address, as do all the other people who want to participate. I then compile a list with all that information and send it out to all the people on the list. You then send a christmas/channukah/holiday card to all the people on the list and you should get one back from all the people on the list.

It's a nice way to bring us all closer together and celebrate the holidays and it also great fun to see the cards coming through the door as they won't all be coming from the same country.

I've been asked by a couple of Ballyhooers to give an exact cutoff date as they wish to order really, really extra special cards to send to us So if you wish to be sociable and holidaylicious please can you PM me your postal details by November 13th 2008

Some Ballyhooers have told me what holiday they celebrate if I was going to list that information. I don’t think I’m going to for the following reasons.

1. We are all friends and the cards are being sent in the spirit of friendship

2. I am Jewish and I only buy and send Channukah cards to all my friends regardless of their religious belief. At the same time I don’t expect my non Jewish friends to send me anything other than the same Christmas cards they are sending to all their other friends as it’s the friendship and joy we are sharing which is important message here not what picture is on the front of the card.

Okay, well my DH is currently painting our beach house bedroom! It's now a light seafoam green! This afternoon we're going to try to begin our holiday shopping at the outlets and then visit our youngest DD at Drexel. We decided to forgo the parent's weekend festivities and just go out to dinner.

Today it's not dreary but a little cooler than yesterday here.

What's 12/27? I've also been to Vegas twice, the last time we stayed at the Venetian. We may go in January with a DIS couple.....since we both have the same birthday 1/22, we may book a weekend trip, we'll see........

I still haven't decided what to do with the holidays this year.........I think I want to go Miami but I still haven't booked anything. I know the longer I wait the less likely we'll go......
