Finally decided to go with a segway tour in Copenhagen instead of Tallin. The Tallin segway company was not good about getting back to me with info at all:sad2:

PLus we have more time in Copenhagen than Tallinn:confused3
Plus I think I would rather explore Tallinn on foot.

This is the link for the segway in Copenhagen.

http://www.segwaytourscph.dk/

Seamus was great about answering my emails within a day or so, plus the reviews on tripadvisor are good too.

We are in the morning tour, so there at most 4 slots left in that time slot. Plus the age limit is 12 which was good for us too.

Laurie there is no need to get the student cards for your kids, they are better off for college age kids. The majority of places we will be going to offer kids rates for those 15 and under, some are up to age 17.
Last cruise Anastasia was able to get the student pricing for the students without having the card, we all just brought along a report card or student ID in case she did need to see them - was not needed.

Hope today went smoothly for you Barb:hug:
Thanks, it was a long service. The hardest part of being at the funeral home is that it was held at the same place we had my parents' services. We've been to several other funerals there since their's, but this was the first time for a family member so it was hard. Just grateful that it was a sunny day.

On a brighter note about the day, my aunt and uncle may join us on our Alaska cruise next summer. I have to get them info on the cruise. My uncle just looked at me with that look of 'you aren't getting me on a big ship in the open water'. :) Will have to work on him about it.

So...
a few questions of my own.

Someone on the main board had a question about an Oslo pass versus an Oslo card.
My Rick Steve's book refers to the Oslo pass and I can't find any reference to an Oslo card. Are they the same thing?

Also, planning on getting the International student ID cards for my kids as they are not very expensive and might save us some money. The website is not really great about describing what you need to do though. I know there is a college nearby (George Mason) that is listed as a place to get them at-do I need to bring passport size pics with me? Do I need to bring my kids with me or can I get this without them? Anyone done this yet?

Rick Steve also says the student ID card might be better than the Oslo pass-so now I'm not sure if I'm getting 4 passes or 2:confused3

Anyone else this far along in their planning??

Our Oslo plan is -Askershus fortress, Resistance museum, Kon-tiki museum and then the Viking ship museum- DIY, not sure of the order yet though

My family just nods their heads when I talk about this:rolleyes:

I have an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) for me, but never considered it for the children as that is quite obviously what they are so will get a child rate. The ISIC gets me discount into the Kon Tiki etc. in Oslo but have not researched anywhere where else yet from that perspective.

Have finally paid for our Viking Walk in Stockholm, so now just to work out how to get to Gamla STan

Must get to the bank:thumbsup2:woohoo:

Chips better than french fries? Depends upon where you go...

French fries vary a great deal in the US from place to place. They are almost never very good when they are massed produced as they take a bit of attention to oil temp and cooking time that the big places don't have time for.

So tell me what not to say in London so as not to offend:confused3
I know to avoid all references to politics and religion are a given...but what else?

English Chips are far far better than French fries, We get our 'chips' at the Fish and chip shop, its a tradition. FF like Mcdonalds cant be compared.

DO do get some when you are here.

:goodvibesGood Morning All:goodvibes
Come on Andrew come back I promise to play nice!;)
I am off to the registry today for license renewal, lets see how bad my eye sight has gotten!:headache:

I think he had enough with you :rotfl::surfweb:

I hope your registry is okay with your eye sight:magnify:

It is raining here

Scottishwee35

Good morning:thumbsup2

I'm guessing Andrew is just busy as he knows your sense of humor.

Don't have to worry about eye tests since I got Lasik:banana:
I do need reading glasses sometimes now for very small print though:headache:

Cloudy and gray here-probably rain soon.

Now, its less than 24 hours since my last post, and you all think I am AWOL, I am touched, that I am missed so so much, but I do have a job and parental commitments, DD at guides Mondays, DS at Scouts on Wednesdays, and they need to be dropped off and collected.

Robert I know your sense of humour, its nearly as bad as mine!!

I think you saw the thread, -Don't worry about the one person trying to throw stones again and not being constructive, they always do it!!! :surfweb:

UK will have some good news soon, Europe has sorted out Greece now.

Changed my StP, booking to an early start on Sunday, to get more in now.

PS Was in Central London and Heathrow today and boy is it busy busy busy with tourists, the old Piccadilly line was popular. So much luggage!!!

Did you ask about the ISIC discount for your Viking Walk? It will also work in StP if you are going with a private tourguide.

Anyone else NOT liking the new DIS tickers? I couldn't find one I liked so now I have to look elsewhere for them. :headache:

Found better tickers. Don't be too alarmed when you see my Ballyhoo ticker...I added our extra days in London. Don't worry...we will be on the same ship as everyone.

I would like a ticker, but I only have 11 posts. Will I be able to add this, and if so, which format do I use, the HTML or the URL? Thank you.

You will be able to add the ticker. Got to User CP and then go under Edit Signature to add the URL after you make your ticker. If you have any other questions there's instruction on the Tech board.

As a very wise girl once said...

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

Now who around here looks like ( and could be) Daddy Oliver Warbucks;)

PS Weather forecast for London at Easter is::: Snow!!!

SNOW FOR EASTER????????

Now that is just not right. :confused3
