When we lived in Japan, we went several times to Tokyo Disneyland.
You haven't lived until you go on the Jungle Cruise and hear the jokes in Japanese !!! Everything is pretty much the same, except Main Street is covered and the "streets" are alot wider. Our friends' son was Pete in Pete's Dragon in the electrical light parade. The food was different. They had delicous terriyaki burgers.But I had to pass on the fish-on-a-stick

We got exciting mail today! I forgot we booked a "dummy cruise" for December 12, 2010! Got the reminder thing today! Guess we'll have to plan another cruise now!

We're hoping for the Dream summer of 2011, maybe book on board this summer

Also, Tallinn is very easy to get around. In the first post is some info relating to Tallinn, as well as the other ports. Tallinn is the main reason we booked this cruise over Helsinki, we liked Tallinn more than Helsinki.

We picked this one for Tallinn as well. Never been to anywhere in Europe before...but Tallinn just looked and sounded more like what I wanted to see
Plus so many of my PC repo friends were on this one as well...not as many as we had hoped for with so many cancelations, but it will be good to see you guys again

THis is my FE. Size wise it is about 30cm wide and about a meter long. I made it myself and it survived the EBPC crossing 2 years ago so I'm hopeful it will survive the ballyhoo too!

Well, I have been ignoring the writing on the wall for a while, but due to a combination of factors ranging from...
- finances (has not been a great year - not really hurting, but not a whole lot for luxuries)
- to value (gosh, this trip is expensive! - and I've already been to all but two of the destinations)
- to competition (turns out there are other interesting places I'd like to see this summer, and a surprise opportunity to go to Tokyo came up as well)

it looks like I will be cancelling our reservation - or rather moving it to the Wonder canal crossing (most likely).

But I write here not just to say goodbye, but to give you a bit of a heads up. You see, the cabin we are holding is 5524 - one of the secret porthole rooms. So in the event that any of you were looking to try to grab one, it will become available sometime tomorrow afternoon pacific time.

I may stop in now and then to check in, but otherwise I wish you all a spectacular journey.

Well I got next year's Dream cruise straightened out a bit. I've booked a cat. 4A for 4/17 and it's cheaper than the 8D that is booked for the 4/24 cruise. I'm keeping both ressies for now until DD's schedule is set in stone and then I'll transfer one of the ressies to the Fantasy if it's going to do 7 day sailings or back on the Dream if it's doing 7 day sailings in 2012.

Here's hoping nothing else pops up to interfere with 2011 vacations.

I might be interested in your cabin, #5524. Our son and his family are in 5504. We wanted to be near them and got 7502

DH not sure he wants to give up Cat 8 for Cat 10 ? Is the room size the same or ?

And if we did want this 5524, how do we go about getting it ??

I suspect it's a matter of luck. Once I cancel I presume the cabin will be released and whoever asks for it next will get it.
I'm not sure exactly what time I'll be calling, but I have flexibility - if you want it we could synchronize a time tomorrow or Thursday.

My absolute favorite ride was the history of Japan show. A couple of animotronic kids guide us on a tour of the history of Japan that is as patriotic (from a Japanese perspective) as the most patriotic of the American shows in our theme parks.

It starts out with the ancient history - talking about Japanese culture and progress and such.
The really funny part is how they handle WWII. Basically the screen goes suddenly dark red, a voice says "then there was the bad time" or something like that, then it quickly transitions to modern Japan and reflects on how the whole world loves and respects Japan now. It's a treat.

Not this time - I do have a friend who was there recently and enjoyed the visit, though didn't feel there was anything really special about it compared to the others.

Yes, it does make sense to join up we did this in 2007 on 5 of 6 private tours and worked out well in fact I think overall we were cheaper pp than DCL.

My one is *fixed* for four, on the train a reserved compartment, and the van after driver, there is one more space and a high premium to upgrade to another vehicle. This is DCL costs on a DCL tour, if you know what I mean.
