So it's late Sunday night & tomorrow is Monday, does that mean that just like Cinderella Andrew has now lost his glass slipper & we won't hear from him again untill Friday?:lmao:

Stay tuned , same Bat channel same Bat time folks!:rotfl2:
popcorn::

Though I am also curious as to where Julie has gone as well?:confused:

Rest well all ye merry Ballyhooer's:rolleyes1:stir:

Hi all. Been MIA the last couple of days. We threw a surprise 50th b'day party for my brother. We told him he was coming to the belated family Christmas dinner and he believed me and even smoked a turkey and pork to bring. It was so much fun lying to him. We invited family, friends and his classmates and did it as an open house so he never knew who was walking in the door when the bell rang. It turned out to be a great evening.

:wave2: Good Morning All :wave2:
Anyone find Andrew'a glass sneaker?:lmao::thumbsup2;):rotfl2::rotfl: :laughing: :rolleyes:

'Morning all. I guess the only good thing about Monday is that we are that much closer to this cruise. :yay: :woohoo:

Now to focus on planning. I've been looking at airfare and am getting more and more frustrated with it. I think I have it narrowed down to a Delta flight being booked thru KLM, which is about $500 cheaper than booking a USAir flight or $700 cheaper than a BA flight. :scared1: I'd rather do the BA flight since it's non-stop, but the cost savings outweighs that logic - even with flying back on Saturday.

Yes it will be Friday!!!!

This is a ghost post...

PS

Please do not tell the Brits or they will jump ship, £/$ fell dramatically today.
(After the markets saw my prediction on Friday that it will be volatile and fall.).

I want Julie back.....:love:

Well Franco DiFortunato here, in this alternative world where time has been wound back to the weekend, and I do not have work, or an headache, and parental commitments.

I would like to say the big, BBBO, thats, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,

Now with hundreds of emails, and people missing me what do I do?

Try to avoid the odd 'slap down'? Will history really all change and go with ''A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"? Will the £ return to $2, will someone ever pronounce, Barack Obama correctly??

All will be reveled in the new show, Villains; coming soon!!!!!!

Warning: Cruise prices can go up, as well as increase, !

As we all know, someone's loss is someone else's gain. DH just came home today and announced that he wants to purchase euros and pounds tomorrow as he has also heard what Andrew has been saying, now is a good time for us Yankees to buy (sorry my friends across the pond). So now we just have to figure out how much. We bought some when it went down in the fall, but will buy more just to be on the safe side.

Quick question, will they take Euros in Russia or should we buy Rubles? I guess they would gladly take Euros or dollars but what is everyone else planning on doing?

Now calling Julie, calling Julie, where art thou Julie???? (bellelinus)

Though I am also curious as to where Julie has gone as well?:confused:

I was wondering the same thing:guilty:
She sometimes goes MIA for a while as we all do when life gets busy...but this has been pretty long. She should post soon when she pays in full, right:confused3

:laughing:Sounds like a great party:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1:

We have to look at flights too:headache:
Gotta laugh...my first thought when you said you prefer a non-stop flight was where the hades do you stop ...its an ocean:laughing:

Gonna go get some pounds tomorrow:woohoo:
Sorry...for my Brit friends:confused3

Anybody emailed Julie yet??

There was a big discussion on this on the main board on the Baltic thread:rolleyes1
Technically you can get away with not bringing any local curency in advance and use the atms...but some of us (me), prefer to have some local currency before we get to the ports.
There was some question about it being legal to get Rubles and bring them into Russia but someone quoted a website that said it was now ok:confused3

I am now PIF 19 days early!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can we get in trouble for posting a smiley with the tongue sticking out:confused3
Imagine it for me Karen just in case.

I would love to use that smiley at times....especially at Robert. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :grouphug: :flower3: :drinking1

I just emailed my TA today to get the balance for both cabins so I can start paying them off this week. :headache:

Laurie the flights I've been looking at stop anywhere from Miami to Paris...not in the middle of the ocean. :upsidedow So that really was a valid question. It's amazing how much cheaper it is to fly from somewhere, other than Philly. Too bad we are coming back on a weekend or I'd probably fly out of NY or NJ, but the traffic coming back over the DE Mem. Bridge will be so backed up it negates the cost savings. I just wish all those NJ people staying on their side of the bridge on the weekends and didn't go to the DE beaches - it would make for so much less traffic on our roads. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I think I'll order some more pounds/euros as well this week.

We used pounds in Tallinn, they didn't want US$ in 2008. In StP we used rubles we got from the atm, but the couple of shops we stopped at had prices in US$, pounds and euros. I'll also get about $50 worth of Danish Kroner and I guess the same for Oslo and Stockholm.
I need to check how much I have left from our last trip and what I've already bought before I go and order more.

Where do you order your money from?

I get currency from my local bank. They can have it to me in 2-4 days.

Morning All,
Have been off the boards for a few weeks so I thought I would catch up. Also wanted to share an exciting event coming up next week in our area. Rick Steves is coming to speak hosted by our local PBS station. :woohoo: We are really excited :banana: to go and hear him. I wanted to say that if anybody has any questions they would like me to try and ask him I would be happy to do so. I've got to start putting together my top 10 list of what to ask. Please feel free to email me privately if you have questions. (or on the board is okay too)

I was reading some posts about purchasing local currency, rubles specifically. I have read in a couple of places that you can't bring in or take out any rubles into Russia. pirate: We don't use ATM's so I hope that credit cards will be widely accepted in St. Pete otherwise we'll plan on hitting a bank upon arrival. I plan on checking with a currency exchange company locally. I like the idea of purchasing some Euros now while the gettin' is good.

Did we ever find out about Segway tours in Tallin? We'd still be interested if anybody has info or a group started.

Guess I better start reading:surfweb: past posts and get caught up. Please feel free to send my questions for Rick Steves if you have any. :idea:
