Thanks for all the input ! 3 hours to Berlin....hmmmmmm  I'll be interested in hearing what others say about the excursions around Warnemunde.

I wonder how soon I should write for tickets to the "key" ceremony at the Tower of London ?

Can't wait to see the Baltic DCL excursions !!!:rolleyes1

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions !:grouphug: This will be our 2nd trip to London so we're very excited. Nick's wondering about the London Dungeon ? Is this worth seeing ? Can someone give me a website to check out the Keys ceremony at the Tower of London, we missed that last time.Don't you have to purchase tickets ahead of time ? Thanks!

I've visited the London Dungeon. Think wax museum of torture along with a jack-the-ripper dramatization and you'll be on the right track. Note - it's a really good wax museum of torture, so if you want the "bad old days" brought to life, it's not a bad way to go.

Very close to the Tower of London as I recall.

I did the key ceremony this past summer (it was wonderful) -- the trickiest part is getting British stamps for the self-addressed stamped envelope (they say you can also send an international reply something, but from what I have heard, almost no post office in the US sells them). I sent off for the tickets 3 or 4 months before the date. Look here for more details:

Is there a standard amount for an envelope under a certain weight?

I'd check out cruisecritic for things to do around Warnemunde and what others have done instead of going to Berlin. I found that site very helpful when planning our last Baltics cruise.

Price depends on the size of the envelope (length, width & depth), weight, destination & finally how quickly you want it or if you need it guaranteed by a certain time. If it is easier Laurie, send me all the required info. & I'll post off with the SAE & can then forward the tickets when they get to me. If this would help anyone else, please PM me

I'm actually on the 24 June cruise (we have even fewer DIS folks on so far than you do) but I like to lurk here to get ideas. Quick question for our London friends: I hope to go to the big, main Hamblys toy store. Is there a Disney store near there or is one of your London Disney stores the main/better store? I'm staying at Park Plaza County Hall for a few nights pre-cruise so will have a couple of days in London to explore. Thanks.

Hamley's is on Regent Street and we love this store.

http://www.disneystore.co.uk/misc/disney-store-locator/c/300206/ This shows the Disney Stores located in and around London. (You will need to put in London in the address search box to see the results)
I just noticed the original store on Regent Street is closed. I've been to the one on Oxford Street and it's a pretty big store, 2 floors. The Oxford St store would be about a 15 minute walk from Hamley's since Hamley's is just off Oxford Street.

You should be able to find the info here unless some of our London cruisers can get you the answer faster.

Thanks Barb. I just wasn't sure how much to guess for the weight of the letter for postage:confused3

Thanks Jilljill. That is precisely the information I needed. Oops, my apologies for mispelling Hamleys. I was doing it from memory. Serves me right for not looking up. Hope you'all have a great cruise.

Yes looking forward ot the release of these, the issue is that 3 hours each way to Berlin :scared1: Hope its a nice train.

Tower is north Bank of Thames, L Dungeon is South Bank Thames, at London Bridge station.

Approx 15 mins walk, or Bus.

Hamleys is mid Regent street, gonig North from Piccadilly, its East (Right)side, going South from Oxford Circus its on the left. Oxford circus has a new japanise stlye pedrestian crossing, work going there jsut for that to see people get run over....:)

Disney Store at Regent street closed a few years back, the best one I found is at Bond Street station, just outside. My town has one, but i find UK ones arem ore for pre teens not like USA

It's not. :scared1: I'll have to see if I have a pic of it sitting at the station along side a nice train.
