Once we are on the cruise we can have a drink sit back & laugh about this thread!:thumbsup2:laughing: :drinking1:

I'm holding you to this. In fact, I might print it out right now and bring it along as proof. :rotfl2: :drinking1 :rotfl: :flower3: :grouphug:

Thats it he is off (No I did not mean as usaual) Heli Skiing the Great Britain Glacier!:thumbsup2;):happytv::banana:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rolleyes1

So we have 1 Andrew that is off skiing the Great British Glacier and another that is going on this Baltics cruise 1 month before the rest of us. It must have something to do with the name. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Where did you find the info to write or email the tourist board to get info sent to you? This would be great to have listed in the first post.

We found the US Embassy in Copenhagen by complete accident and they gave us a great guidebook with a nice map in it that was in English. I hope I can find that book again.

I sent for info on Tallin from here: http://www.tourism.tallinn.ee/fpage/travelplanning/brochures
(the second paragraph has a blue email link to email them a request for brochures.)

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of this link, and look at the bottom right corner, there are links were you can view e-brochures for many countries: http://www.visitnorway.com/en/Stories/What-to-do/

This link has links for e-brochures or requesting printed matter: http://www.visitnorway.com/en/Articles/Theme/About-Norway/Practical-travel-tips/Brochures/

For ordering printed information on Germany: http://vh-dztweb-01.phnxsoft.com/webshop/index.php?do=change&country=USA&lang=eng

I think that's all the ones I found....If I remember more, I'll post again.

Okay - we're not going on any of the Baltic cruises - but we are stopping in London for a few days on our way to the Mediterranean. My question to you folks is -- with only 2 1/2 days in London - is it worth our time to go to Harrods or should we skip it this trip? There is so much to see that I'm not sure I can squeeze it in -- but if it's totally awesome and worth the trip -- then I'll make it fit :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for this info.

I'm partial to Harrod's and love looking/shopping there, but if I had a choice to see other sights and this didn't fit in with my plans I would skip it. I have been to London and not been to Harrod's, it was hard for me to do but I survived. If you are flying out of Heathrow there is a Harrod's shop if you must have Harrod's souveniers.

It's a high end department store. With only 2 1/2 days, especially if you have kids, I would skip it. We were in London for three days a couple of years ago and wish we had way more time. There is so much to do and see.

We have a fresh layer of snow outside. The flurries turned into a coating on the ground. :headache:

This is great! Thanks so much:goodvibes

Someone was asking about London hotels. This is where we are staying for 2 nights before the cruise. I think we snagged the last family room though for 115 pounds per night. There is no elevator or air conditioning, but it has some very good reviews on trip advisor and for only 2 nights it works for us. Getting to the 3rd floor with all our luggage is going to be a pain, but we'll survive;)

Some of the port adventures are up. They must be in the middle of it, I am getting errors on some ports.

The pictures are so cool!! Makes me want to do everything:laughing:

Now I'll be able to get the family excited:woohoo:
My kids are old enough that I need their feedback to ensure we all enjoy trips-hate hearing the critique later on:headache:

My Andrew appears to have fixed his ticker, I guess that means he i s coming on the cruise with all of us and not one of his own! Considering his airline tickets are for the same time as us, I'm thinking that's a good thing! ;)

Wow - I thought for sure that the overnight in Russia was so there would be time for shore excursions to Moscow but so far none of them go there (unless I am overlooking something)

The only hard port to decide so far is Copenhagen. Do we want to see the castles in town or the castles in the countryside :rotfl:

Other than that it is going to simply be which castle tour at a given port are we doing. (We don't like castles at ALL) :rolleyes1

I also checked his AK ticker and he's going on that one with us too. It's nice to know you will all be sailing as a family. :rotfl:

I was looking at the excursions and nothing jumps out and says book me. In my opinion, they are rather blah.
The StP ones are rather uninteresting, you can see so much more on a private tour. We saw more in 1 day on our last cruise there than you can with either 2 or 3 of the DCL tours.
