We'll go to Epcot and have a drink or 2 at Rose & Crown and then we have a 9:00pm flight home. I'm sure we'll go to dinner with friends either Sunday night or Monday night since my friend and I have the same b'day on Monday.
I love Epcot:cloud9: I finally got to see a lot of it when we left the kids home for our anniversary trip in 2007.
Make sure you get the birthday pin;)

Yes, they are being announced at the D23 Expo and then bookings will start in October.

Did you also hear about the tiered system for the Castaway Club? The tiers are:
1-5 Silver
6-10 Gold
11 or more Platinum

Gold and Platinum will get the current benefits plus extra goodies in their cabin and onboard bookings at 105 days out and silver benefits are the current benefits.

I'm glad they are finally changing this. We are currently at #4, but maybe I can convince DH to take a 3 day before next year's Baltic so we can get the benefits of the gold:rolleyes1

I know, DD will make sure I get my b'day button but I won't want to wear it. I hate wearing anything with my name on it, goes back to the days of working retail.

I'm looking forward to going to MK. This summer we were only there 2 evenings for only a couple of hours each. DD & I spent our days at Epcot - she loves it there and it's always been her favorite park. :lovestruc

With your thinking of taking a 3 day before next year's cruise, I would need to take 2 cruises to be platinum. Don't think that will happen since I've already gotten the 'rolling eyes' look when I mentioned the kids sail free promo for next year and even more so got the look when I mentioned FL resident rates for Thanksgiving week. I think I'll just stick with being gold for this cruise.

I agree, I'm not a name tag person either. But they have generic pins that have Mickey or some other disney character that says "I'm celebrating...birthday/anniversary". No names:confused3 The CMs know to look for them and treat you special. I was trading pins with a CM when he saw my pin that said I was celebrating my anniversary and he gave me the pin I wanted for free:goodvibes Little perks like that.
Either way, what a great place to spend your birthday:thumbsup2

And any plans to sneak a 3 day in are gone for us. Darren got into a minor car accident (no one hurt), but now he needs a new car:headache: Hope there are lots of sales this weekend:rolleyes1 He feels awful as he was distracted and hit the car in front of him, but I'm so thankful that he is ok.

Airfare is released. Are you going to wait or book? The fare is about $1037 pp with all fees from Jfk to Heathrow.

That's a good question. It's not a bad fare. The question is whether or not it could get better and how sure people are that they are going to be able to cruise next year:confused3

Did that email come HONAEMAIL , ( maybe Honolulu) I presume you will respond Hawi do you do ask that, in fact Lay, all might be asking that, I think Aloha questions might be answered about that time. Well at least five0.

So it will be Alaska then!

I just booked Orlando to Gatwick $1194 (Delta - I have plans for the miles)
I figure I'll start breathing again in a few hours
Now I have hotels reserved on the front and back ends; transportation thanks to Celestine. Just need to pay off the credit cards! Ought to break even by cruise time. :rolleyes1

Is any one else a DVC member? We were thinking of the Royal Garden Hotel in London for a prestay using our points. But then I don't know what to do about transportation to the cruise.

Caro & I are, and Barb I think. If you look back several pages, Celestine is coordinating some busses for us.

We are back from Alaska. We had a great time and the weather was great. No rain!!!! I saw an eagle family and some orca. And bear poo..... no bears.
The Glaciers were wonderful and Buchart Gardens in Victoria was just breathtaking. Ir was a restfull vacation.
We really enjoyed our visit with Carolyn, Andrew and the girls and look forward to seeing them again. Maybe at Disneyland, but for sure on the cruise.:banana:
