Anyone up for an East Coast Summer DIS Meet in Baltimore ???

DH and I were going over our summer schedule and at the moment know that we are free for the following dates:
July 25-26 and August 1-2

Anyone want to meet up at the Baltimore Aquarium :confused3

http://www.aqua.org/

OOOHhhh, we've been there!!! How fun for everyone out there!:yay:

West Coast MEET

For those of us who will be in the Anaheim area on the weekend of the fourth, Caro, the DDs and I will be celebrating the birth of our country at the GRAND CALIFORNIAN.We have not told the girls yet, but our plans are fairly open. Anybody interested.

Oh man, I am busy on the fourth, how long will you be there?

Okay, so I having been getting kind of antsy lately and decided I don't want to wait til next year for a vacation. So I almost have Bob talked into going to Alaska. First off, has anybody cruised with Celebrity and how was it? We are toying with the idea of making it a two week trip and driving up to Seattle to take the ship and then driving back home.
Carolyn, do you drive to DL? I know it will be a 1200 miles............:sad2::rolleyes::rolleyes1

It is 20 hours of DRIVE time from LA/Orange County to Seattle. It is doable, but long. I hope you plan on seeing us while you are here. I personally think you should fly. Some fares from Long Beach are pretty good, Ontario has some good prices too.

Interesting when I woke up this morning I didn't have any Internet or phones, just recently my Internet has started to work, no phone so someone has plugged something in!!!

Not sure if it will stay as the website for the fault still says 29th June!

Happy fathers day!

Today is the day on Father's Day, that we will meet my father's long lost sister that noone knew about until a year ago..........we're having a famiily barbecue.......and a getting acquainted day...........

What's everyone else have planned??

I was going to ask if you were at McDonald's right now?:rotfl2:

Well I do not know if I am coming..... going..... or what, :confused3

We get very little information.

First we have 'Internet' that came back this morning and has stated,

Phones came back an hour ago,

Originally we were told to be fixed Monday 22nd, then the website and other people in our area said Monday 29th.

But I have seen them working on this locally and so far its up, but our phone dialing tones etc all sound wrong, so maybe a temporary fix not sure.

Well I got my father's day cards & gifts 3 tour books on London.

1. Rick Steves London
2, London with Kids
3. Unnoficial Guide

Now I have to read & high light!:cool2:

OK, I take back what I said about Allen House. That looks like it is te only place through DVC/RCI if you are staying a week or longer. We found in the Concierge Collection, the Royal Garden Hotel. http://www.royalgardenhotel.co.uk/ You can do a per night on points there. We would need it for less than a week and only need 1 room.
So Celestine or Andrew Derek, how close is this to things? Would this work for our DIS bus?

The Royal Garden Hotel is about four hundred meters along the road from the Allen. It is a very nice hotel that adjoins Kensington Palace Gardens (home of the Israeli embassy and various other very large ambassadors homes) & also Kensington palace. It is walking distance (Brit Style or just imagine walking around the World showcase) to Harrods, Pont st (designer row lady Di type shops) natural history museum, science museum, royal albert hall, Hyde park, victoria & albert museum generally this is a very upmarket area Notting Hill is to the north.

Bus pick ups will be decided next year once we know where everyone is staying, but it seems as though most people are either opting for Victoria, County Hall area or Kensington. Book your flights and accommodation and leave my DH to worry about how we get you to the ship next year......don't panic we have two coaches reserved and DH does this sort of thing for a living.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dads

Caro, are you sure about it only being for a week or more stay. I thought I checked last eve and you could do it for less than one week. Maybe I am dreaming, though, it was late. I thought we could reserve it at the 10 mos window. The Royal Garden we can do at 11 mos out. The points are much, much less for Allen House, though. We may do the Royal Garden just to make sure we get somewhere on points.

Celestine, you have no idea how fabulous this is. This takes a lot off our mind. You are such a sweetie!!!!! And thank your DH, too! :lovestruc

Happy Father's Day to all!!!!

Right now, I have no idea what my schedule will be like for those weeks. If Linda and I end up being off for whichever weekend you decide, we'll definitely drive down to meet you guys. If we can't make it this summer, maybe we can try meeting up again in the fall.

Today is the day on Father's Day, that we will meet my father's long lost sister that noone knew about until a year ago..........we're having a famiily barbecue.......and a getting acquainted day...........

What's everyone else have planned??

We had a nice day today. The kids took me to Putt Putt. You'd think that they'd have the decency to throw the game on Father's Day! Then we went to dinner at Applebee's, and back home to watch the kids in the pool for a bit. Topped it all off with cake. (I like cake! ;))

Hope all the other Dads out there had a great Father's Day too!

I hope you had a great visit today!!:flower3:

We went to my younger daughter and her husband's house for a Mexican bbq today. This is the first time my daughter has had a party. Her husband's mother and stepfather and his father and stepmother were all there too. We had a good time together. Altogether there were 16 people. I was quite proud of her. :lovestruc:love::lovestruc
