These were taken from two of the bell towers one in San Marco, one accross on the next island of Venice.

Got to say thats the first time I have seen them, these were taken by my son, some a little out of focus re ship movement, so sorry about that, but its one place everyone should go sometime.

Stephen did a fantastic job with the photos!:thumbsup2

Molto bene, Andrew! I love your big grin in front of the Palazzo Ducale! Alice is getting very grown up, by the way -- she has really matured since last summer.

Ah, big grin! I do not know if I should post what Stephen was up to to make us and half of San Marco sqaure to Laugh so much.

If anyone wants to know I will post it below, you can highlight it, little boy humour.

Anyway, Alice organised where we were going in Venice, all the locations etc, a tour guide for me, wonder where she gets her organisational skills from?

She did very well.

She has grown up very fast.

Animal lovers do not highlight.

Stephen has a little party trick, in 2007, it had Jimmy and therefore Sally in stitches, he can make a very loud and long 'wind/gas' noise, on his arm,.

This time he has extended it to going up behind a flock of Pigeons, in San Marco, and then doing it. Making all the birds fly off in surprise.

So many people were in stitches, there was a 3/4 year old boy saying to his mum, look that boy is very funny.

You really had to be there for this!!!!!!!!!!

:goodvibes

A very full San marco square!!!!! The Pigeons have never experienced this!

You and your family were just lucky that the pigeons were not frightened into "unloading" as they took off:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well I just booked into Saratoga Springs for a week 7/18 who is planning to be @ WDW?

Then taking a Carnival Cruise out of PC the following Saturday this way I can wave to JoJo on the way to the ship!;):lmao:

We'll be at the house down there, so we'll be around that week. Sounds like a Beaches & Cream meet should be arranged since we've never been there. :thumbsup2 :yay: :woohoo:

Andrew your son's story is too funny and I was thinking the same thing as Julie. :lmao: :dance3: :rotfl2:

FEs are good the girls thoroughly enjoyed them on the PC repo, but I ended up taking the FE down early as they started running to check it & Lauren (8) always won so Hermione (3) would throw a strop. Lauren then decided to try taking the top off her finger by swinging around the door! This time we'll be less restricted in our gifts (not just because of numbers) but because we don't have to fly anywhere!

If anyone wants a bit of checking out done on potential London hotels, happy to help. My job has led me to some lovely ones (Millenium Gloucester Road), some OK (Thistel, Euston) & if I really have to stay (Strand Palace). As a Londoner for 20 odd years I may be able (along with others) to add some local knowledge!

Have started a bit of research for shore excursions - I fance the HOHO in Tallinn as it means you see quite a bit in a short time & we've never done the London one (much to my girls disappointment) as I know what is where already!!!

Celestine
Yes, yes, yes Celestine:banana: We are having the hardest time trying to figure out where to stay in London. Thanks so much:goodvibes

We're hoping to have at least a day, maybe a day and a half to explore a little before the cruise. With such a short time I don't want to spend a lot of time traveling to the hotel, but I realize that the price for the London hotels may be too much for us (family of 4):sad2:

What are the price ranges:confused3

What is a HOHO:confused:
Ok, if it makes you feel better, I didn't know this one either;)

Back to cruise related things, those that met us on the EB Repo may remember that DH is a transport manager in Central London. Should anyone be requiring transport pre or post cruise he has numerous contacts from chauffeur pick ups to full size coaches & will be happy to help anyone out. Rates should be highly competitive as he'll be going for corporate rates because of the level of business/retainers etc. he has with some of these. He gets no benefit or commission or anything so there is no ulterior motive behind the offer. If anyone is interested, please PM me

Celestine

Clueless yankee here is:laughing:
Thanks:thumbsup2

SOME RANDOM PHOTOS

VENICE1026.jpg
Great photos Andrew:thumbsup2
I have to get my son a camera for his trip this summer. His friend's mother is from Naples and she we will be taking him and his friend sightseeing. I have to show him your photos:woohoo:

We were in the Hard Rock Café in Venice and the table next to us, a guy got on one knee and proposed, now I thought if you went to all of the trouble of going to Venice you would propose on a Gondola, but, Hard Rock it is nowadays, she was on the mobile cell phone telling everyone after-wards!

I agree, gondala would have been much better. HRC sounds like something my DH would do:rolleyes:

Ur just dying to meet me, sorry, no luck..........we go from 7/16 - 7/18 at AKL and then off to the ship, home on the 25th. Then we're going to NYC to meet Helen & Dave w/ Julie and Maryann & Tom on the 26th (our UK dinnermates from the Med!):thumbsup2

Well I think he spent all his money on the trip and the ring so the HRC was it, plus the ring could fall overboard, very very practical.

Robert, missed your colorful 'good morning' greeting today.

Good Afternoon everyone

:rotfl::rotfl: Yes, I didn't think of that part. With our luck that's what would have happened. At our wedding my DH spilled cola on my wedding dress and stepped on the hem more times than I could count-the look of terror on his face when he spilled the soda on my dress kept me from over-reacting:laughing:

mmm-tons of things went wrong on our honeymoon-DH was bit by a fish snorkeling, lost plane tickets, bad sunburn led to dr visit, wrong rental car-we had a wonderful time anyway:goodvibes

So yes, dropping a diamond ring in the water more likely for us:rolleyes1
