Hello all have a good weekend,,,

In two Saturdays have to book my 2009 Shore trips at 5am!!!

Andrew, can't you just contact concierge and get your excursions etc., done through them? I thought that was one of the benefits of concierge (although I haven't tried it!) . . . Just seems like a nice benefit would be not having to get up early (although of course very few people will be booking at that point, so it should go quickly).
Have a wonderful trip Robert.
We are booking our Tortola excursions at Midnight tonight!!!!
Well yes, technically correct, I have had an introduction to them, they work office hours Monday to Friday starting at 8.30am.
Now they could do it for me, but as my 'window' starts 5am Saturday, they will do it, Monday after 8.30am.
They have said, they can do anything, I do not get, never tested it.
Anyway, I am always up early, its just 1 hour earlier than normal, it Will be nice to have a noise around what happens when they first open at 105 days, never seen that.
The funny thing is, the St Thomas shore trip I wanted has been canceled with many others, so even though I can book early, the only shore trip I really want is at Tortola. As we just have the three stops with CC.
They have confirmed my request for PLA, rotation and table for 4, requested one in the middle of the restaurant.
Have a wonderful trip Robert.

Sounds great! I would probably just let them take care of it, but it will be interesting to see how quickly it goes for you at the early date. What are you planning for St. Thomas now that they canceled the excursion you wanted?
Good luck! Let us know how it went!![]()
I will do a test run and observations this year for Concierge, as the Baltic will be far more important, I have booked a private tour in St Pete's for 2010, but will go with DCL for the others.
St Thomas has a lot canceled post June, I have been there before, the ladies want to go shopping, so I was gong to book the quick Island Tour first for two and a half hours, but thats gone, I do not want to go to the beaches as we will be on a beach in Tortola at the baths and have CC.
So I might just book the mountain views and butterfly tour and then cancel nearer the time, and just go shopping.
Concierge say they can basically 'do anything' for us between 105>90 days, but then they cannot promise.
You should do it sometime instead of multiple cruises!
The time off work is my factor so might as well enjoy it.
Bet this thread will be slow for a time now, no Robert as well.
I probably will try it one day . . . have done concierge at hotels many times and enjoyed it . . . but I have thought recently that I would rather spend more time on the ship than less time in concierge, so that's been the direction so far.
If we didn't have work commitments I would do the same.
You would sail with me for more time rather than without me in concierge?![]()
The answer is a non starter, as I cannot get the time off work, and the Mrs is reading this thread!!!!![]()
We booked everything we wanted at midnight. We are going the Virgin Gorda excursion to the Baths. Decided to do the one without lunch. Not to penny pinch, but it was $21 more for lunch????? I figured we would want to stop back at the ship anyway to get changed so we'll grab a bite to eat on the ship and then walk through Road town. I guess we don't have to tender?????
We are also doing the St. John Mini boat excursion. I didn't notice this one but Tom did. It looks different. We love to snorkle so this fit the bill. We also booked Palo dinner, high tea and brunch. I think we are doing a group brunch that JoAnn organized but we booked one just in case it doesn't work out. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll let us do both!![]()
It looks like the only thing I missed was the pirate walk, a bit of spanish lessons, and some talk of shore excursions for cruises this summer. At least I didn't have to catch up on a lot of stuff.
Congrats to Robert on his, don't worry I'll add your
to the list.
We had a bad week, DD got sick Sat. night and was sick all day Easter Sunday. We took her to our friend's house to sleep all afternoon and evening, while we went to the MK, Poly and DTD. Picked her up that night and she was feeling better. I woke up Monday morning sick and was in bed all day long. By Tuesday we were both feeling better, but the storms came rolling in and we finally headed over to Epcot around 3:15 and the storms finally cleared out of the area. I'd never seen hail in FL before, but now I can say that I have.
We weren't able to close on our house since they title company is waiting on a HOA estoppel letter and once they receive it we can go to closing. So it was a wait and see game all week long on whether they would get it while we were down there or not. Wednesday evening we were given permission to store our things in the garage since we had taken a trailer load of furniture and other things down. So that was a big relief.
So we will now do a mail-away closing once the letter is received by the title company.
It was disappointing, but it's all for our best interest in the long run.

Here is a pic of my DH, Ken, in probably one of the earth's most clean, pure, beautiful
and clear beach.......The Baths of Virgin Gorda
