Well, honestly JoAnn, my day was sad. One of our cats, Zack, started to have trouble breathing last Wed. I thought he had a cold and took him to the vet on Sat. She said his larynx was not opening and closing properly plus he sounded like he had asthma. I blamed the pollen from keeping our doors opened last weekend because the weather was so beautiful. Anyway, after xrays and bloodwork, which was perfect, we took him home and we had to give him prednesone for the breathing. We took him back last night because he wasn't eathing and didn't sound any better (we were syringe feeding him but felt like we were force feeding him). Anyway, the doctor said that the xray they took today looked like a different cat. His lung had collapsed and behind it was a large mass that they couldn't see on Sat. It was in a spot that is inoperable, so we had to put him to sleep. He was 13. We are very sad, but happy he went quickly as he always was active and hated to be restrained in any way.
Maybe there is a DIS meadow in Heaven for all our beloved pets. Wouldn't that be wonderful.
