We had a call from our realtor today with preliminary figures for our closing. We should get the papers by email in the morning or Monday morning and will sign them and fax them back and the closing will be over. I'm still trying to get a grip on this whole emailing/fax closing and not having to sit in a lawyer's office and sign tons of papers.
So the end is in sight for us.

Well, honestly JoAnn, my day was sad. One of our cats, Zack, started to have trouble breathing last Wed. I thought he had a cold and took him to the vet on Sat. She said his larynx was not opening and closing properly plus he sounded like he had asthma. I blamed the pollen from keeping our doors opened last weekend because the weather was so beautiful. Anyway, after xrays and bloodwork, which was perfect, we took him home and we had to give him prednesone for the breathing. We took him back last night because he wasn't eathing and didn't sound any better (we were syringe feeding him but felt like we were force feeding him). Anyway, the doctor said that the xray they took today looked like a different cat. His lung had collapsed and behind it was a large mass that they couldn't see on Sat. It was in a spot that is inoperable, so we had to put him to sleep. He was 13. We are very sad, but happy he went quickly as he always was active and hated to be restrained in any way.

Maybe there is a DIS meadow in Heaven for all our beloved pets. Wouldn't that be wonderful. :cloud9:
I'm so sorry, MaryAnn.:hug::hug: Been through it before and I'm quite sure there is a DIS meadow in heaven for all our pets. They welcomed Zack with open arms.

Maybe Andrew and I should stop by the house to say hello to it!
Are you all packed Barb? It's almost time for our trip! (I'm not packed.)

Yes, you could do that.
Most everything I need for 'our' trip is in the garage at the house down there, so I can be all ready to go in no time.

You can also look for the alligator as he hasn't been seen in a week or so since the pond had receeded so much. Since there was a little rain the other he should be out of hiding by now. You could stop by and say hi to him as well.

Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better. Once that sea air hits you in the face you will feel all better.

We will be heading down on the 24th for a few days to start to set up the house. I may go out and look at carpet for the 1st floor so it can be installed when I go back in June before our cruise.

Another set-back this morning....the stupid seller didn't sign the extension paper last week when we did. The selling agent said it was no problem and we could proceed with the closing on Monday and just use the figures from yesterday. Our realtor told them no way....since the seller didn't sign the extension papers last week we need to have them sign the paper and then they can draw up new figures next week. He didn't want us to have to pay the taxes and such for a few days due to their error. The figure won't change much, but at this point it's the principle. :headache:

I do have pics I just haven't looked at them myself. Hopefully I'll get to that in the next few days or so.

It sounds like you have a wise agent. Things must be very casual in Fla. Then, we're at the opposite here in NY. You need a lawyer for almost everything. There has to be a happy medium. I'm sure it will all be worth it when you can be at home and get a Disney fix just by driving around your neighborhood!!!!! :yay::yay:

What's everyone doing on Sunday for Mother's Day?

I'm not cooking that's for sure. We're going to a local restaurant as we will be at a friend's son's wedding the night before and won't get home until late.
