I saw the model and thought we'll be on it in June and again next year.
I don't think the CM working at the desk down the hall would have wanted to see adults climbing up there to cover the loo sign.

It's so funny. Here I am living in NY and had never been in the NYC Disney store! And those of you from out of state knew all about it!

Tom & I were just talking about our great day this morning. Dis boarders sure are nice people (and their kids are nice too!) Barb, Alexa is a real sweetie (and pretty, too!)

DD & I had a really good time yesterday and getting to know other Ballyhoo'ers who are a good group of people.
The weather cooperated even if it was windy.


Julie, I didn't get past The World of Disney since the sale in Saks was calling my name and I ended up getting a Chopard bracelet there for half price. But thanks so much for your directions even if I didn't use them.

Made it home with no traffic or problems at all. But I did have one 'accident' in the city while walking back to Penn Station - I twisted my foot while crossing a street. It was fine while we were walking but sitting on the train for almost an hour didn't help it when I got up to walk. I'm now hobbling around on a swollen foot and will have to put the Mini to rest for a few days since it hurts to push in the clutch, good thing I have a back up to drive.

Sorry about your ankle! If you had gone to 78th Street, I realized later that I should have told you and Alexa to get cupcakes at Crumbs on Third and 78th -- keep that in mind for another trip (they are incredibly good -- even better than Magnolia's, I think).

I find that funny that you've never been to the WOD in NYC. The store used to be much better when it was a Disney Store and they carried lots of collectibles. The 3rd floor was a real gallery full of nice artwork. When The Children's Place took over the Disney Stores, WDW kept the rights to the 5th Ave. store and it became a WOD store, so the CM's working there are actually WDW CM's.
I have heard when the current lease is over the store will move from the present location to a smaller location in the city.
That's probably more than you wanted to know about the store. Oh wait...you might want to know that if you have an annual pass to WDW you get a 10% discount on most merchandise in the store.

Thanks for the comments about Alexa, she does well around adults since she's always been around them.
It's always fun to meet DIS'ers in person, once I got over the idea of meeting internet people in person.

Excuses, excuses........seriously, it was really fun to meet Barb and reunite with Julie, Tom and Maryann..........anytime you can make one of these DISmeets, definitely "just do it." Andrew..........you can help the econonmy for all of us, when you book this type of trip. Also, I think the global warming is much better this winter!................thx to Maryann for the great pics!! Thx to Julie for the great pizza idea!! It was great meeting Barb and her DD!!! Tara surprised us and joined us at the last minute.........

I loved walking up 5th with everyone and showing the NYers where the Disney Store and Trump Tower are we bought Starbucks (of course.) Missed you Julie and Barb during this part.After we split up, Ken & I saw "39 Steps" (which was well-acted but we didn't love it) and "Billy Elliot"(which was fantastic!!) today. Tara came back and brought her BF and thx to Barb's recommendation, Juniors for dinner tonight! Sorry to hear of your twisted ankle, Barb.......

But I have to ask....how do they tint eyelashes and what color did you get?
