We ended up just getting a light coating of snow here, but the sun has melted it this morning even tho it's only about 20 degrees outside and very windy. :cold: :scared: :cold: With the wind chill it was -2 when I got up. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Julie, have you heard how the weather's looking for Tuesday up there? I'm going up with some friends and we are going to the Martha Stewart Show.

It's supposed to be nice! It's incredibly cold now, but we are warming up for the weekend and no storms in the forecast right now. I'll keep an eye on the forecast as Tuesday approaches and let you know, for for now it looks fine.

Hi, yourself!:) :) :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :) :)

We have more 'significant snowfall now predicted for Friday, which isnt good news as the last snowfall is still on the ground in many places, so we can predict a shut down of Londons transport again!!!!!!

London seems to get it Midnight, 3am, 6am, and then onwards 6am>midday.

Unless they get the temp wrong as its a fine line between rain/sleet/snow.

Thanks Julie. As of now, they are calling for 54 and rain for here. But we know that can change on a dime. :scratchin

So much for global warming. :confused3 :upsidedow

We are currently 20 and with the wind chill it is 6

We are supposed to warm up this weekend - high 30's or low 40's - yipee

Maybe some of our 1 1/2 ft of snow and 4 inches of ice will start to melt

OMG I'm not sure how much more of this I can take :crazy2: If the transport system goes again I think I'm going to cry. Many councils are saying that they've run out of grit/rock salt so very, very few main roads are now getting gritted. Our estate hasn't been ever gritted at all. At work they are saying "you are expected to attend the office" which translated means get to the office whatever it takes :crazy2: I'm not sure how they expect this to happen without transport :confused3

I'M FED UP WITH THIS WEATHER AND THE FACT WE'RE UNABLE TO COPE WITH IT :furious: :furious: :furious:

Actually, global warming would not mean that every single year would be hotter than the year before, but that the average temperature over time (decades) is rising . . . and that does seem to be true.

I will keep you posted on our weather -- I just saw a forecast for 35 and overcast on Tuesday -- which believe me, is a lot better than today, which is sunny but frigid!

Good luck with the weather, Andrew!:grouphug: How are you feeling?

Thanks. I'll take 35 over today as well.

It snow north of London overnight and we also has a light dusting, but it been steadily raining all morning. It's not heavy rain more list a very heavy mist so hopefully it will melt the last of the snow and ice. Further north i.e the Midland, Central England and Scotland they've had 10-12 inches of snow over night and it's still coming down :crazy2: :crazy2: When will this winter end :confused3 :confused3 :faint: :faint:
Well, February is here, so there's hope........it's supposed to warm up this weekend around here.........:cool1:

Ok, fine, I'll say it for everyone......."I hate winter":sad2:

I'll 2nd that!!! :scared: :sad1:

Last night when I posted that it just started snowing I was wondering why DH hadn't called me on his way in to work to tell me that it was snowing. When he got home this morning he told me it snowed overnight....I was like DUH I had already known that at 11:15pm not long after he left for work. This afternoon he tells me that at work he had gone outside about 2:00am and it hadn't started snowing where he works, which in only 5 miles from home. Very strange....:crazy2:
