It just keeps on getting better and better, Josh is also on another snow day tomorrow !!! :faint: :hyper: :p :crazy2: :joker: :sad2:

Our worse weather is actually at the other extreme, when we were last in Australia we were in Sydney on the hottest day every recorded there at 45 deg C (thats 120 deg F) :beach: :beach: :scared: :scared: We spent the day at Manly Beach, when we got the ferry back into the city Josh collapsed with the heat :faint: :faint:

I can give 2 answer to this:

Hurricane Charlie August 2004. We were supposed to fly out of MCO the night it hit and we didn't get to fly out until Sunday morning and then we had to drive to Tampa airport. I've never seen glass in a sliding glass door bow before. :scared: But going into Epcot the next day was nice, it wasn't crowded at all and the CM's were so nice.

Drove to Las Vegas from Delaware July 2005, Got to Laughlin, NV and it was 125, drove across the Colorado river to Bullhead City, AZ and it was 132. Once we got up to Las Vegas they were having record highs of around 121. It might have been a dry heat, but when the air was moving it was like standing in front of a furnace. :crazy2:

:thumbsup2

Thanks for the answers so we have the 'heat' 45 deg C and 132 and the 'wind' of Charlie :upsidedow anymore?

I get 27 days + bank holidays of which there are 8.

That's 7 weeks vacation in total. Wow, you are lucky.
MY DH has been at his job for almost 35 years and gets 5 weeks vacation and 3 personal days, which can be taken anytime, and then gets paid for 3 holidays; Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.

My wife say's that I am always on vacation! :sad2: :scared: :hyper: :faint:

SO

''ANDREWS ''ODD' QUESTION.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE WORST WEATHER YOU HAVE EVER BEEN IN????

Lets see if we can have a bit of oneupmanship, on the severity, so one foot of snow is my opening gambit, but I could go for the back end of a hurricane, on the Eastbound repo in 2005 off Cab San Lucas.

Any Tornado chasers out there???

Lets see we were at the epicenter of the Blizzard of 78 that was about 4 feet of snow in about 24 - 36 hours! Then various hurricanes but not big one's but it was cool when one year the eye went over Hull MA during the summer!

Umm, I'm sorry :grouphug:
is that what I'm supposed to say?

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: Barb, did you see Izzi's kids are having another snow day?

The funniest thing is that the au pair didn't take it too well. I think he's a little disappointed that if the trains are running I will be at work and he'll have to forgo going to the gym for the afternoon and look after the boys :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

aww, poor guy!

aww, poor guy!

Yea right  He has no outgoings, gets all his board and lodgings and £75 per week for getting Ethan up and walking him to school at 8:30am 5 mornings a week and collecting him at 4:30 in the afternoons. He spends 2 -3 hours cleaning the house and doing household chores Monday to Friday and the rest is completely free time including all weekend.

So no I feel no sympathy at all for him having to work for a few more hours tomorrow. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I remember the blizzard of 78. I was a senior in hs and we had semester finals. Got there and 1/2 later they canceled school. Got a ride home with a teacher who lived near by. I got let out at an intersection near home and it took me less time to walk the rest of the way home, than it took to get out of the parking lot! We use to get a lot of snow storms in the 70's. Now my dd school closed down a couple of weeks ago because it was too cold!?

Isn't it such a shame he'll have to work for him pay for the day?!? Nope...not at all. :confused3

Hope you have to go to work so he has to be home for them all day. :thumbsup2

that's my daughter! :thumbsup2
That is a great snowman! I'm sure the boys are really enjoying the snow!

And don't forget, they would of had to walk uphill both ways! :rotfl2:

This made me laugh!! I did walk uphill both ways to get to my high school. My kids always gave me the eye:rolleyes2 , yeah sure Mom. But I brought my son to NJ when my Mom was very ill and I took him to the high school and he finally saw I was telling the truth. I had to cross a bridge to get to and from school. So I went up and over both ways.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
