welcome aboard! We really are a fun bunch!

Mike, if you don't want a lecture and a history lesson please don't say this to my DD. Actually he was only poisoned in the room and then taken out back and shot and then thrown into the river and was found lying under the ice and he had tried to scratch his way out from under the ice. Somehow he survived the first 2 and even being thrown into the icy waters for a bit. So there you actually have the history lesson in a nutshell, but DD will go into more detail.
I was very impressed that she knew/remembered so much about his poisoning. Hence the reason for going to Yusopov Palace when so many 1st time visitors skip it. Plus, it's a palace on a much, much less grand scale from Catherine's Palace and Peterhof Palace.

OK, that sounds really, really cool! Once again though, probabaly not a place Kathryn wants to see! It's that whole dead thing again!

But that's what we Brits are known for. Our quiet nature, our reserved spirit and our stiff upper lip. Are you saying I don't fit into that category :confused3 :confused3 I can't imagine what would make you say such a thing Barb :p :p :p :p :p :p

Could it maybe be this?

Since it's snowing out, and has been for a while, and everyone is home and up we are heading out to cause some trouble someplace. No clue which direction we will head or where we will end up.
Catch you later, :wave2:
So as Izzi says, play nice. :upsidedow
have fun causing trouble!

We booked this cruise as well. Will be traveling with our daughter (12) and son (10). I've lurked here while anticipating our 3 day cruise last month. We had such a great time that we booked this 12 night Northern Capitals cruise while onboard. (The discount helped too). We're looking forward to this cruise as we've never seen Europe before. We saw this as a great way for us and our kids to see a few places we might never see. And, we get to enjoy the Disney boats in the process.

Welcome aboard! Our kids will be the same ages as your kids. We have DS 12, DD10, and DS10.

I'll pass on the lecture:blush:
but I'm always up for a history lesson. :thumbsup2

Tell your DD I'd love to hear the details.

wow, imagine that, it was lunchtime for me and nobody was around! How very odd! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
ETA: Mike just showed up!

Great! given the itinerary I was a little concerned there would not be many kids onboard. Because it's Disney, I didn't worry about that too much. Perhaps the kids can exchange messages when we get closer. It might be nice for them to look forward to meeting someone they already know a little something about.

There are going to be loads of kids of all ages onboard. We can start up a kids thread nearer the time

I think it's a great idea. My daughter "talked" to a few girls ahead of time, and when she met them onboard, it was as if they had been friends for a loooong time. My boys didn't really chat with anybody ahead of time, and I think they realized how cool it was for Hailey, so they'll probably be more interested this time.

Julie, I would love to hear about Prague if you don't mind. DD will be going there this summer on her trip. You can PM me. Or better yet, you can tell DD about it on the 28th at John's. Thanks,

I'd be glad to! I LOVED Prague and definitely want to return for a longer trip. I have lots of cool photos, too.

:wave2:

Thank you for asking.......I've decided to revamp my career and I registered for a certification test in Middle School Math. I've decided to increase my marketablity and possible seek a job change this summer. How's that for productive?

WOW I'm really impressed and good for you. Does it entail lots of work in order to take the certification ? What kind of job would you be looking for ? and how long have you been doing your current job ??

Lots of questions .... sorry

I think I forgot how to spell today, sorry everyone!
