I had a feeling that was 'your room'. It's very nice.

I showed the site to DD and she wants every cow shown in the pics. She loves cows - she's a strange child. :confused3 Could you please take a special pic of one for her, she would love that?

Barb you need to send me one of those flat stanley thingies of her so we can take her whereever we go and then take photos

Oh no that just won't do....he and I will have to have a jewelry talk. I'm sure Izzi will join me in talking with him. :lmao: :rotfl:

I guess 1 less day a month is better than no job at all. DH thinks he's going to have to give up every other Sat. night o/t, but at least he has a job with benefits. :grouphug:

Hey I agree with that :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I will have to do that. I just bought photo paper yesterday. She would think that's hysterical. Thanks,

We take my friend's Scooby dog with us and take pics of him in different places. He really like to go to breweries.

An Airbus 320. A bunch of ferries are surrounding it now and getting the passengers. They are thinking it was a bird strike that brought the plane down. Charlie Gibson had Robin Roberts on the phone and she saw it go down and said it just went down and didn't bounce or anything.

They are just saying it is 19 degrees in NY, can you imagine how cold the water is?

Hey Julie - since I'm not too familiar with New York/New Jersey - how close are you to that plane crash? DH just called me to turn on news, like I need to hear any other bad news?

He now is a Lieutenant with Orange County Sheriffs. When he was a sargeant, he organized the checkpoints and that was OT!::cop:

My brother does dispatch for the State Police here and does a lot with the mobile command unit they have. Plus he is very involved with the telecommunications union.

Oh Hell I am getting the wrath now, she is mad I did not leave tonight so as not to wake her early tomorrow morning!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :sad1:

The nerve of you not taking into consideration her beauty sleep. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: That sounds like something I would complain about.

One of the passengers on the plane is on the phone with CNN - looks like no one was seriously hurt, they had warning and braced for impact but as the plane remained intact they were able to escape. He was in the middle of the pact but believes that everyone got out. Said the ferries were able to come right up to the front door and people were able to jump in without touching water.

Seems in the beginning many people were on the wing but they were the first evacuated. Water temp TV reports is 43 degrees with air temp 21. Lord, someone has a lucky angel on their shoulder. Kudos to the pilot for such a gentle landing enableing all to survive. Keeping fingers crossed that all have escaped.

I only saw 1 person getting off the boat with wet hair. I saw the crew walking off the boat onto dry land as well.
They believe that all passengers are off the plane.

CNN talking to Alberto Panero - seems in mild shock but giving decent information to them. Sorry for the play by play but I'm amazed that people were able to walk away almost unhurt.

Said from time of impact to walking out to boat was just minutes. After everyone realized they were ok - said everyone walked to exits.

It will be interesting when they interview the pilot since they think he intentionally landed the plane in the river and not onto land after the bird strikes. He really need to be commended for everything he did for the safety of the passengers and crew.

OMG! Now I can at least proceed with normal routine, DH just called and freaked me out. I was just talking about booking airfare for Peru, think I may put that off for a bit.

I didn't know that, but since I wasn't in there, I chose to believe he did the best judgment call he could, that combined with the fact that everyone seems to have gotten out - he's one lucky pilot - ok - skill probably had something to do with it. I was just talking about water crashes to DD and I was mentioning that I had never heard of a plane safely landing in water. Guess I can eat my words now. And I will gladly do this. Whew! I am starting to breathe now.

Proceeding with normal routine would mean that you need to continue with looking/booking your Peru airfare.

The scuba divers have completed their check of the plane and no one is one the plane. No fatalities.
