Ok, below I have posted a link to my DD, Tara's blog. If you open it, you will see the highlights of our quick trip to NYC including our real, yet blurry pic of TC. He's the one coming out thru the theatre door. There's also a shot of John Lithgow (which you can sort of see.) Forgive me for my lack of photo posting skills but Tara's version of our New Year's is so funny. :rotfl2:

Where are those cruise pictures, Julie??? :worship:

Things have been hectic since I got back -- still not completely unpacked:scared1: -- and I haven't loaded all the photos yet . . . I will soon, I promise.

I have them all on a Snapfish account, but they are not labeled. All 1700 and some. :upsidedow
Wow..That's a lot of pics:scared1:
Guess there was lots to take pics of though.
Note to self -bring lots of memory cards:thumbsup2

Congrats, Laurie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you did this -- and I know you had toyed with the idea for a while . . . so she is good with the cats, but are they good with her?;)
Oh, they're getting there:rolleyes1 We have 3 cats. 2 young ones and an old one. The old one is afraid of everything (nothings changed much for her). Of the 2 younger ones, Dan is comfortable enough to nap in the same room with Kayla. Tammy is starting to come out of our bedroom and watch from a distance.

Once I started working from home in September, the last roadblock to adopting was gone. DH has officially declared himself a cat person:laughing:

Cool:thumbsup2 I'm still working on my photo posting skills too:rolleyes1 I can post internet images as I graduated from the Crash school of Digital Borrowing;)
We were in NYC on 12/27 to see Shrek with my family. Boy was it crowded. Elbow to elbow on the sidewalks:dance3:

I'm loving your Family Calendar pose JoAnn :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I heard that one man on our cruise took over 2000 pics in StP alone. Now that's a lot of pics. :scared1:

I keep forgetting to ask DD how many pics she took, but then she took lots of pics of cars, ducks, birds and trees.

Joanne, I just saw on tv that a bunch of schools in the area are getting out early due to the weather, were you affected?

We had a strange automated call from DD's school about ½ hour ago that said their power had gone out around 9:30 and was finally restored. Not quite sure why they felt the need to let us know that - guess I'll have to ask DD about it when she gets home. :confused3

Izzi, how was Josh feeling this morning?

Funny you should ask. He felt fine this morning but Paul just had to pick him up from the bus stop as his back hurt. I don't think it's anything to worry about but more muscle ache from using unused muscles. Strange to think of a 12 year old having muscle ache like we would do but I guess that's what it is. I think a hot bath maybe in order.

Hot bath/shower and warm tea sounds like a muscle reliever to start. He probably didn't realize how much he would ache today. I'm sure each day will get better as he gets those muscles stronger again. :grouphug:

Too funny about Darren the official cat person!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So I guess he's not exactly taking her for walks, right?;) What about the kids? What do they think of her?

I know, from the week before Christmas to New Year's, midtown is beyond crazy . . . we just try to stay uptown (not too many tourists above 59th street most days except inside the museums) . . .

Evening all - cold here projected -4 tonight.

Hi Andrew -- I booked a 7 night Eastern onboard for August 2009 . . . but knowing how you would accuse me of stalking you, I picked the August 29th one and left you in peace:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Actually, the price was SO much less on the 29th and I love St. Maarten anyway . . .:thumbsup2 I just couldn't wait until summer 2010 to see the ship again . . .

Sorry ladies but I have to love you and leave you. I put in a 12 hour day yesterday and another one today and I'm knackered, so night, night play nice :grouphug:

I would never wish ice on anyone, but I understand what you mean. The school DD went to the last 4 years never got out either even when other schools in the area did.

Good luck in the morning, we are only getting rain here at the moment well actually pouring.

I'm dreaming, I'm so beat, I better turn in early tonight!:surfweb:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I don't think tomorrow and Friday are going to be very nice days, senior managers keep disappearing in and out of meetings and the Head of IT almost bowled me over in his dash to pick up a piece of paper coming out of the printer before I could see it (I was standing by the printer waiting for MY printouts) which I guess had "names" on it :sad1: :sad1:

:grouphug: Keeping good thoughts for you and all involved. I'm sure it's a very stressful time there. You must all be on pins and needles.
