We watched that movie on Sunday. I agree it was good movie, very fun. Not sure who thought to cast Pierce Brosnan in a musical though.:rolleyes1

There are a lot of English things I like better, but I think I'll take the American sandwich.

I have to agree with you about Pierce Brosnan on the singing front but from where I'm sitting I can overlook that minor fault as long as I can look at that face and bod !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We are staying at Port Orleans-French Quarter and really liking it!
Here is the menu for Earl Of Sandwich! http://www.earlofsandwichusa.com/food/sandwich.php
I had the All American with no tomato, Andrew had the Original,Kathryn actually had the Tuna Melt and Alana actually had the kids Turkey. (Yes, Alana is the older one!)

OK, so what do the English have as sandwiches?

Thanks! I've never heard of this place, we'll have to check it out next time!

Yes, I think he was cast for his looks not his singing.........it's a lot worse when you get the CD and he butchers "SOS." At least in the movie you can look at him.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don't have that song, but I did buy "I Have a Dream" on itunes for Linda. It's a pretty song, and Amanda Seyfried has a nice voice. (Plus, when you're watching the movie, she's pretty easy on the eyes too!:thumbsup2)

I do prefer English Tea sandwiches as my favorite kind of sandwiches.......:thumbsup2

Well, "take care of myself week" is almost over, I had a few more doctor appointments today, the next is the dreaded teeth cleaning..........then I'm rewarding myself with 3 spa appointments tomorrow to prepare for New Years. I also had one of the mini chair massages yesterday and it was so fantastic, I'm doing the "real McCoy" next week.........;) :thumbsup2

So, what's everyone doing for the big night tomorrow???

OK so I vote that we adopt "Mama Mia !" as The Ballyhoo !! official film and we all learn as many ABBA songs as we can so we can have lots of fun bursting into spontanious singing whilst on the cruise. Lets face it there's no way any of us can sing any worse than Mr Brosnan :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Absolutely nothing. Probably watch the tv and then go to bed and then wake up when it's all over. We're not huge fans of NYE when we're at home so we generally ignore it.

I think for the first time in our married life, we'll be just the two of us (not counting my mom and aide, of course). DD & DSIL will be with friends, DSIL's mom won't be coming this year, and my cousin won't either. DS and fiance said they don't know what they'll be doing, so we just might be ALONE!!!

(Chances are really good we just might fall asleep before the stroke of midnight :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) (SHHHHHH, don't tell DH I said that :rolleyes1 )

We're going to my cousin's house. We always used to go there, for probably the first 12 or 13 NYE's that we've lived here. Linda has had to work NYE and New Year's Day for the last 3 years, so we just stayed in. They closed her unit at the hospital this week, so we're excited to go spend the night with family again.

Be careful what you wish for! I may have to show you a video of the karaoke song I did on my last cruise. (Yeah, keep me away from the zombies on our cruise!)

Sound good, Mike.........Ken and I have been doing a lot of quiet New year's lately, so this year we're going out! I have a million things to do tomorrow and then we're outta here!!!!!!!!!

What a great idea........on our cruise, Mama Mia Karoke Night........wwwoooohoooooo, GAME ON, Ballyhooers.........
