So Julie! Are you taking the girls to see twilight at 12:01AM tonight? :rotfl: I got Alana and a friend tickets to go see it tomorrow after school. She is so excited!

No way would I let them go at midnight since it is a school day tomorrow! We do have tickets to see it (at least, the two older girls and I and two of their friends) tomorrow night . . . I doubt the movie will be as good as the book, but it will be fun to see nonetheless.:thumbsup2

I just saw this on the Castaway Club part of DCL's website for the european cruises:

Onboard, we're adding special European touches from themed menus and merchandise to new activities and amazing entertainment. While on land, we're adding special Disney magic to European shore excursions to create one-of-a-kind, family-friendly Port Adventures for everyone to enjoy.

PRICE!!! :lmao: :scared1:
I guess if they call it a port adventure they can charge more than if it were a shore excursion. :confused3 :rotfl2:

One of the things I liked about the Med excursions (as compared to the PC excursions) was the fact that DCL cast members were on many of the excursions and shutter's photgraphers were stationed in many places.

Same here for the midnight showing. Alana was hoping we'd let her go see it then with her best friend. NO WAY!!! I'm really surprised Alana didn't suggest we go to Forks to see it! :rotfl: It's about 4 hours from us. I believe she does want to go there for the weekend for her birthday in March. That I would do!

We had a great DCL cast member with us on our Cartagena excursion. She became Kathryn's best friend! She held Kathryn's hand in one of the churches when Kathryn was scared to go in and continued to stick by her the rest of the day. She was then on our Aruba excursion, which thrilled Kathryn.

So Forks is a real place???? I thought it was fictional! Is there a native reservation near there, as in the books?

There is Native land all over the place here, most of them have casinos. Forks is near the top of the Olympic Peninsula and what is not Native land is National Forest or National Parks for the most part.

My older two plan to go this weekend, too..............I still haven't read the books even though we own all 4 of them............I hope I can at least get Number 1 soon!:confused3

That's really interesting. I really thought it was a fictional setting. I'll bet their tourist industry is picking up beyond their wildest dreams!

I predict if you start the first one, you will have all four read in no time, JoAnn . . . they really are sort of addicting.:thumbsup2

It is, especially with the 11 to 16 YO females.

It's interesting that you said those ages -- my girls are 16, 14, and 11 -- but I haven't let my youngest read the books quite yet . . . she wants to, though;) I thought they were a little sexy for an 11 year old . . . but maybe I'm in the minority here!

No, I think you are right. Unfortunately many parents do not have a clue as to what their children are reading or watching.

Well, that's how I came to read the series, since it is not clearly a "children's" series . . . I will have to think about what age she will be considered old enough . . . it's hard for the youngest one if they feel left out of what the older ones do . . . but I keep reminding her that I don't want her to grow up too quickly.

Good Morning,

Sorry I haven't been around much. Things have been even busier for us than usual. Keegan's football team finally finished their season last Saturday with a win in the championship (undefeated season). It was our anniversary Sunday, then Brennan started wrestling season on Monday. He still has bowling and then wrestling again Wednesday. Last night he had his Pokemon league and today and tomorrow Keegan has a sleepover with 2 different boys and a birthday party for a classmate. They also had 2 birthday parties to attend last weekend and we had family visiting from NJ to see Keegan's game.

All this plus parents day at school, parent /teacher conferences another day, volunteer time and work! We are trying to get ready for our upcoming WDW/cruise. We leave 2 weeks today!

Well I better run and get the boys ready for school. I hope you are all doing well and I'll have to spend some time soon catching up on recent posts.
