Julie, are we posting Christmas pictures on the dates listed? I have been away for so long I feel like the new kid on the board!

Yes, Andrew had a list going and if you signed up for a day between Dec 1 and 25, you would post a holiday photo of some kind on that day . . . if you go back a page or two you will see Andrew's list, and there are lots of openings.

We had the most wonderful Disney vacation and if I ever wanted to just grab time and make it stand still this would surely have been the time to do it!

The time at WDW was just the best ever and then the cruise was something else, literally! We had booked an Eastern Caribbean and with the weather problems, which being on vacation I was really not paying too much attention to---I did not know until we were ready to leave for the port that the cruise was totally changed!:confused3 .

Instead of Eastern Caribbean we had a double dip at Castaway Cay and a Western Caribbean. You could not have ordered more perfect weather. Every day was sunny and just delightful. We had wonderful servers and our stateroom host was just the best. Our daughter and son-in-law were so excited every day!:cool1: .

I thought you might enjoy these pictures from the elevators. We got quite a delight out of them:

Also, I told Mickey all about the Baltic Ballyhoo and this was the look her gave me:

What great pics. That's so great that you had good weather on your revised cruise.

Julie, I guess you aren't at Rockefeller Center at the tree lighting ceremony. DD & I are watching it and she asked why we didn't go up to it. :confused3

To be honest it is really pretty cut and dry - if the cost of the cruise has not changed since it was booked DCL has to re-price the reservation and the fuel fees automatically come off when they re-price it. If the reservation has increased in price or the category no longer available they cannot take the fees off. Where the price has increased if they try and re-price to take the fuel fees off the reservation will price at the higher rate. I am a TA and have been working on the reservations I personally have over the last two days. I have been able to take the fees off close to 100 reservations. There were a few European cruises that I wasn't able to do that for because the price had increased. DCL didn't give me or any of the other agents in our company any problems making the changes to the reservations that qualified

For the cruises that increased in price they will be looked at on a quarterly basis and if the fuel cost is still under $70 a barrel then the fuel fees will be issued as an OBC for sailings during the following quarter. Example on Dec 18, 2008 they will issue the OBC for sailings in Jan-March 09. On March 18 they will issue OBC for sailings Apr-June 09, etc. as long as the ful costs stays below the magic number

I have been so busy (good thing in this economy and hope it stays that way :) ) that I haven't had much time to be on the DIS lately. Julie thank you so much for putting all the information on page 1 of the thread. Makes it easier to look there to see what is going on

Thx for sharing this, this is what my TA told me...........:confused3

Hey I'm sorry I didn't mean to be having a go at you, it was certainly NOT directed at you personally :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: I was just very, very, very angry at the way DCL was handling this whole situation and that coupled with the news I reiceved ealier today about possible redundancies just tipped me over the edge.

Sorry to you and to all of you who have had to listen to me ranting and raving like a mad women all afternoon :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Best wishes, Iz!

[quote Andrew, if no one signs up I'll do another, but let's give others a chance in case they want to!

Thx for the info, Harole Ann, I was wondering what happened to your cruise!

Hey Barb........thx for the card..........what a delightful surprise......(I still haven't done mine........):scared:

Hi guys Bye guys Long day, I am pooped !:goodvibes

Julie, I guess you aren't at Rockefeller Center at the tree lighting ceremony. DD & I are watching it and she asked why we didn't go up to it. :confused3

No, in the past (when my oldest two were very little) my husband worked in Rockefeller Center and we had a fantastic view of the tree lighting from his office, and I guess it spoiled me -- once he no longer worked there we no longer went (fighting the crowds didn't seem like fun, and it's always on a school night).

Julie, are we posting Christmas pictures on the dates listed? I have been away for so long I feel like the new kid on the board!

Yes, JoAnn, Andrew had started a list with all the days from Dec 1 -25, and we are signing up for different days to post a holiday themed photo . . . look a few posts back and you will see the current list (once Harole Ann signed up) . . .

Hey Jul,

There was a weird quote when I copied Harole Ann's last post. She's the one who wanted to know about the Christmas picture thing with Andrew. I don't have any good pictures (and I'm not too good at posting on these boards) so I didn't sign up. If I get some, I'll give it a try.......:)

Anyone else starting to panic about how much time we have left before the holidays???????????????

I probably should panic, but for some reason I am not:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OK, I saw that weird post but didn't realize I was answering her question again about the pictures!

Hey Barb........thx for the card..........what a delightful surprise......(I still haven't done mine........):scared:

You're welcome. I still have a lot of family ones to do and send out. :santa:

Funny how we put people we don't know (at least some) before family. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

That would spoil you and make you think twice before fighting the crowds on a school night. I missed how many people they estimated were there, but it looked like an awful lot in that space.

OMG :scared1: :scared1: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: We've just been sent this email by our general manager,I hope that I'm not one of the poor souls

During October and November each General Manager in London has been reviewing (and continues to review) their costs including their future resourcing requirements. The Bank and I wish to be totally transparent with staff on this issue and although no final decision has been made, it is anticipated that redundancies may become necessary. However before any redundancies are confirmed the Bank will first explore other potential alternatives.

Ouch - Somehow the elegance of the word "redundancied" doesn't make it any more pleasant than the crass American "laid-off".

I remember the first time I faced something like this. It was a small company and they called a company-wide meeting. I got to the conference room and noticed other people were slow arriving. Then the CEO walked in and announced "congratulations - if you're in this room you still have a job"

Morning All

Thought I'd do a quick post now whilst I'm still awake. Last nights concert WAS FANTASTIC   :cool1: :cool1: :dance3: There was lots of dancing in the aisles and loud audience participation singing :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 However it was a very late night as we didn't get home till after midnight :scared: :scared:. Mick Hucknall looks sooooooo old (I think he's about 44/45) but his voice is to die for :faint: :faint: :worship: :worship: it has definately matured and mellowed with age.

This was the 1st gig in their 25 years greatest hits tour which will be their last. Once this tour finishes next May then Simply Red are splitting up and Mick Hucknell will then do his "own" thing so I am very glad I got to see them.
