7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Now I'm very, very excited. Thanks. :thumbsup2 JD for you! :drinking1

Now to settle a question we all have - where are they built?
We've been past the Land Rover facility in Solihull. Would like to go there sometime if possible.

Current Mini's are assembled in Cowley, Oxford which is the former Rover plant (with a very nice makeover). The panels are pressed in Swindon, Wiltshire and the petrol engines are assembled in Hams Hall, Birmingham. They call this the 'Mini Production Triangle'.

You can do tours of the Mini plant as a member of the public, book via the web cost is £12 over 14 years old only or I may be able to arrange via my BMW contacts if you ever have the time on a trip here. You also get to see the museum with the Austin Powers mini, a mini designed by Michael Caines daughter for the Italian Job Anniversary and a mini covered in cow hide:scared1:

Hope that helps

Paul:thumbsup2

Thanks, you've given us another possibility.

My friend said the postmark on our docs was 6/4 and 6/7. Since they went from Celebration or Lake Buena Vista to Windermere it was a quick pony express trip.

Robert was your upgrade to the Stack?!? :rotfl2: :confused3 :lmao: :headache: :rotfl:

Yes Beam Me up Scotty!:lmao:

See Barb you and Andrew are just so alike!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::eek: :rolleyes1

Well maybe there is one thing we do both agree on and that seems to be you, the Comedy King. (And actually I think the 'Stack' answer is better!).

If you are beamed up to the Bridge, maybe you will have to Kling-on to the Captain.

Did you see the earlier post where one of our crew is upgraded to the 'Roy'. Former occupants, didn't pay everything on time, and are no longer there.

Yeah right I saw your suggestion of that!:lmao: I would still take the Walt for the 8/7 11 Night Med if they offered it to me!

I was afraid if Robert was upgraded to the Bridge the only places he would be steering us to would be all pubs along the coast and we wouldn't get too far away from England. As much fun as that sounds :drinking1 , I really want to see the ports we are intended to visit. :thumbsup2

On my count, Robert, you are loosing out, she is on form tonight........

And a Cruise Pub crawl would be highly likely. :woohoo:

Saw your post on the 7/30 re that, there can be too much of a good thing.

I am very pleased I am now on RCCL for 2011.

There have been three DCL cruises I had holds on but due to them not giving me everything I want, I haven't booked. Concierge on the Dream would have been nice, I am holding back to on the ship and will discuss with them there.

I'm really not. I drink more at Epcot than any other place - as funny as that sounds.

Oh yeah....I never said I didn't like your sense of humor. I sit here reading it and shake my head at you. Then I wonder how you come up with half the things you say. :rotfl2:

Better yet Andrew, it's only afternoon here so I've got plenty of time left to pick on him today. :thumbsup2
