7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Robert you are on a roll today. :headache: :cool2: Must be too much trip planning and talking about money.
If you do not appreciate my Humor you do not have to associate with me!:crowded::snooty:

Cat. 1-3 have dvd players in them but not the rest. I can always ask my friends if they are bringing some sort of dvd player or laptop with them to play it on there if need be.
I'm sure we'll figure something out.
friends you have friends?:confused3 Besides the Sisterhood of the traveling Baggy Pants!:hyper2::ssst::mic::scratchin:p

:rotfl: Maybe, but I'm the same me I've always been!

We'll have at least one lap top with us that will play advd. (Mine doesn't, it has a Designing Woman dvd stuck in it (hint, hint dear!)) I'd watch the dvd with you!
Serve's you right for putting rubbish like that into a nice laptop!:badpc::stir::hyper:

Oh we call them Dead End's kinda like that joke!;):lmao:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The Vision

Tumbleweed floating up the vacated western town, the sound of an empty wind blowing.....and Robert you of all people talk about Hair (sorry hare) Raising. :goodvibes:rolleyes1 :thumbsup2

Now if you want to see something really funny, look at the Tipping thread if you only eat in a restaurant for one night!!!!!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2481305

Looks like I am not the only person to get annoyed with one persons posts.

OP is happy with first answers, but what some people will quibble on when spending $thousands on a cruise and suggest saving a small percentage on that by cutting tips.

I always tipped additionaly as if we were paying for a retaurant meal for DW & I????? So did I do good or just throw my $$$$$$ away?:upsidedow

Andrew or Celestine,
Hoping one of you can give me some advice. We are staying at PP Westminster and will be meeting relatives at Kew Gardens on July 17th. It looks like a fairly simple ride on the tube, but I would appreciate knowing if our travel to and from Kew Gardens would make it worthwhile to purchase an Oyster Card? :confused3 Reading about the card, it looks like we would each need one with a minimum price just for the card itself of 3 pds st. Description of the card says if you plan on 2 one way trips, you definitely should get the Oyster card. How much would the tube fare from PP Westminster to Kew gardens be? I'm not sure we would use it for much other than that trip but one never can tell.

Thanks,

Thought I'd expand on Andrew's answer. Kew Gardens is in zone 4. You are travelling there on the Saturday, so suggest you buy a 1 day travelcard for £6-30 each. A cash fare is £4 each way. Oyster fare is £2-40 each way + the £3 so the travelcard works out cheapest! Plus you can hop on & off any bus etc. for no additional charge if you feel like it.

Celestine

You can have the DVD disc to keep, I have loaded it into my Mac if you want to watch it sometime during the cruise if it doesn't play on the room player. It is only 14 mins long, but worth watching if you are a Mini fan.

Visit was very interesting 900 vehicles per day, 5000 per week!! Someone in the US has ordered a very nice Cooper S with all the gadgets on touched by my own fair hand!!! It will be on the boat Friday.

I like the new style of packaging! It's nice and compact!

Now I'm very, very excited. Thanks. :thumbsup2 JD for you! :drinking1

Now to settle a question we all have - where are they built?
We've been past the Land Rover facility in Solihull. Would like to go there sometime if possible.

Thanks Celestine. That helps a lot with our decision. :thumbsup2 Then I realized, hey, when we return on the 30th, we have an overnight by LHR so we'll probably take the train into London to do something that day/night. :yay: From all that I've read :surfweb: it sounds like the train you take from LHR into London isn't part of the Oyster or travelcard options. :confused3 Do you think if we end up needing transportation in London on the 30th, plus our time pre-cruise, that we should buy an Oyster card? :teacher:

Who from this thread is staying over and not flying home until July 31? What are your plans for the 30th once we get back to our LHR or LGW hotel? I though perhaps Disney might have some post-cruise tour options but no such luck :sad2: I know in 2007 post cruise in Barcelona, we hopped the hotel shuttle and went down to Las Ramblas for the day.:dance3:

NO DOCUMENT DANCE here in Michigan yet :sad1:

We are staying until 8/1. Buckingham Palace is open by that time. We ordered and received our tickets already. That was the first time we received mail from the Queen. :)

Andrew,

Which of these locations would be the closest to get to from our LHR hotel? I realize we'd probably need to take the train to some point in London and then transfer.

Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire,
Hertfordshire, or Essex

I am looking at this company to perhaps do a hot air balloon ride with on July 30th at sunset. :cool1:
