7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Somehow.............:lmao: Dont think so.

But do think they need to appoint a Mod from Europe on the Cruise boards.

That wouldn't be a Mod, that would be an Editor or Instructor.

I don't think most people would take too kindly to being corrected.
I have a feeling that people in other countries (much as we are here in the U.S.) are used to hearing the "wrong phrases" being used and probably get a good laugh out of it.

He will be so ready for some sort of drink by the time we get to the port if not before. :worship: :worship: Paul you will be our hero in making sure we are all on the bus and on our way safely to the port.

I meant to ask, do you know about what time we will arrive at the port? Our friends will be driving up from Christchurch and I want to give them an idea of what time to meet them at the port since they are sailing with us.

Darn....you found out. If you aren't then we'll have to request that your 'special' drink be placed on bus 2 and held for ransom once we are at the port or on the ship. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :drinking1

Nope Paul & Celestine in theur ultimate wisdom have seperated us we are on Bus 1:cool1::banana::yay::woohoo::dance3::rolleyes1

And I hear that all the Cadbary Chocolates will be on our bus as well!:thumbsup2:upsidedow

PM's have asked for the kids thread link, its quoted on the first page of this thread and also I quote it here.

There are getting more and more kids posting and it would be nice for every child to post as we are close to the cruise now and they may organise a meet.

I recall somewhere it had been arranged by others on some Cat 3 Verandah, but some very nice person in a Cat 1 (Port side) has organised a Pizza party, or so Facebook says.

I think you are confused and or mistaken Andrew it must be the Starboard side:rolleyes::cool2:

On the UK Boards and Disneyland Paris boards at least one Mod has changed post(s) that may potentially cause some offence to certain groups. And given warnings for it. Even if it wasn't 'willful'.

With many European DCL cruises attracting a large community of cruisers from many diverse groups, its a *suggestion*.

In the UK, and Europe, its the Law in some cases.

If our heatwave continues, ie 30c in London today and 40c on the tube, it will be 'hot chocolate melted down.

Right lets answer a few things

1. We are estimating if everyone is at the right place at the right time, being at Dover Cruise Terminal for 11:15hrs

2. Some people do have fairly early pick up times, just remember I have the earliest! So I will appreciate any stolen muffins from your hotel breakfast:thumbsup2 We have had to factor in the collecting about 70 people from 10 locations.

3. Some people want to be at the Port before twelve as they turn into pumpkins (mentioning no names R....T) the only way to do this was to leave early as my magic wand is in the workshop! I can understand the concierge payers wanting to get their moneys worth, although I would quite happily walk onboard at 16:45 if I were allowed.

4. Although it is nice to be thanked, it is also worth remembering that when we did the EB Panama Canal, fellow Dissers did the same for us. To coin a phrase "It is nice to be important some of the time, but more important to be nice all of the time". While we are on that subject, we made the booze stop on our bus and I got a free balloon in the supermarket:yay:

5. To all Ballyhoo Bus passengers if you oversleep or something goes wrong and the coach has left your stop. Both coaches will be at the Park Plaza County Hall Hotel, for the last pick up until about 09:30ish when we head off for Dover. So jump in a cab and hot foot it over and better still let us know by cellphone. I am not sure there is any other contingency planning we can add, apart from me doing room calls  (don't even bother asking).

6. If there are any lurkers still needing transport to Port or fellow Dissers, that find themselves stranded on the day you are welcome to use point 5 of this message, subject to room on the coaches of course (we have room for about 10 as a back up plan).

Look forward to meeting you all and if you need any help or advice in advance or while you are staying in the UK you have our phone numbers just call and we will try to help.

That might be a wise decision on their part but for the sake of you and my DH. Just think of all the shopping talk I could have with your DW... :woohoo: :rolleyes1 :scared1:

I'll have plenty of Cadbury with me, so no worry's there.

You can always switch buses when we meet up at the Park Plaza County Hall at 9:30:rolleyes1

:scared: Ack...that is hot. We've had chocolates melt while on a local bus when we were in Kenilworth. I had forgotten the chocolates melt so quickly and we were stuck on the bus for an extra 2 hour dues to traffic and a breakdown. It was still good, but didn't look very pretty.

I was watching the national news this morning and they were showing Buckingham Palace and I thought I saw people wearing shorts. It looked very nice on a sunny day.

Paul

I thought Paul was going to be on my bus so we could down some Scrumpy together!:thumbsup2

Like either you or my DH would allow that. Although, I could send my DD over to your bus with loads of 'sweets' for your little one. :rotfl2:  :dance3: :rolleyes1 :scared1: :rotfl:

wow is all I can say.....

No Scrumpy for Barb, she gave the secret away! :lmao:

Umm, I don't think so! She's mine for the bus ride!

I was hoping he wouldn't pick up on what I said. Bad me... for giving away the secret. :headache:

You get me for 2 bus rides...aren't you lucky. We can have fun on the first and cry on the second one. Also, on the second one we can start planning our AK cruise. :woohoo:

Have fun you 2 I dont want to get in the way of your serious relationship!

I wonder if their Husbands Know?:scared1:popcorn::

DH is sitting with his head in his hands:rotfl: He's sharing his love for all 70 or so of us, and will swap onto bus 1 at Park Plaza County Hall. This was one way of collecting all the money and ensuring we collect everyone - well that's the theory anyway!

If there are any surplus funds the Costco run may stretch to croissants or something for those on the early shift (& I include our party in that statement!)

DH has been working on putting together suitable music for the trip to port which means that he will have finished his "tour guide Paul" commentary of London sites & daft facts you never knew you need to know!

If anyone on the bus (or thinks they are on the bus) hasn't had an e-mail from us, please let us know - coordinating 3 coaches, 1 MPV & a car makes for an interesting time

Celestine
