I have a busy summer.....this Friday we'll be in Seattle, Sunday we cruise to Alaska, home on June 6, fly to Omaha for my grandson's first birthday on June 9, home on June 17....then rest a bit.
Fly to Florida on July 8th, Wonder cruise on the 11th, off the ship on the 16th and fly straight to San Francisco until the 20th......OH CRUD.....I'll be reading your first reports from our penthouse balcony overlooking San Francisco Bay!!!.....then home until somewhere around the 25th of August when I go back to Omaha for the birth of my second grandson, then a cruise to Montego Bay, Cozumel and Grand Cayman from Sept something to Sept something else....I've totally lost track of exact dates now!!!!

Will you have time to meet up with us on Saturday? Are you planning on taking your DS to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma? Send Caro or I a PM.

I would LOVE to see you on Saturday!! We won't have a car, so we won't be able to take Jared to the glass museum...I wish we could.
Will send a PM.

Doesn't what bus number we are on as long as we get to the port safely.
Sounds just like everyone else who comes in 2nd!:sad2::lmao:

I bet you're darn glad I'm not on your bus....let alone your cruise. ;)
I'm actually kinda fun.
Do you have any signed affidavits by reputable persons (That leaves out just about anyone on this thread) attesting to that fact!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:popcorn::

You really are special then. :flower3:

I'll sign the affidavit attesting to the fact that justmestace is fun, but I'll have to add in an alcohol clause to the degree of 'funness'. :rotfl2: :drinking1 :rolleyes1 :dance3:

I wasn't nit picking, I was trying to figure out how you did that? I was getting confused early in the morning.

I noticed I was excluded, but felt the need to answer anyways.

BTW, can you help this person on the London FAQ thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=36758952#post36758952

Well I'm off for the day. Have to meet my brother at the hospital, he's getting his gall bladder out today. Then will be running DD around later today; from school to dinner, back to school to make the bus for the 8pm soccer game, then back to school to pick her up around 10:30pm or so. Ugh...

Just got back from my California trip late last night and have lots to ketchup on.

DH was very impressed with the bus information you sent us Celestine and Paul:thumbsup2 He was checking the email for me while I was gone, but now he is glad I am back to take over the responsibility:laughing:

The picture showing us where to be for pickup is a nice touch:cool1:

We're on bus #2:woohoo:

Finally got all of the car reservations taken care of for London and getting to/from the airport and all of the hotels in the various places we need them! Now we just have to get oyster cards ordered for London and finish making some dining reservations.

Does any Londoner have a suggestion for a good dinner place close to the Tower of London? We are doing Hard Rock in Picadilly one night and the Porters/London Eye/Cruise thing one night so we just need that one more dining reservation. The other 3 nights we are planning to play it by ear.

I have plenty of people to vouch for me. Unfortunately, none of them are available at the moment......:rolleyes1

If there is any phrasing that is incorrect or that could be taken the wrong way in other countries then those that notice the comments should report the posts to the mods/webmasters with an explination as to why it's being reported and it can be handled appropriately.
If you are getting PM's on these posts either report the posts yourself or tell the posters that is PM'ing you to report it so it can be handled. That's the appropriate way to handle such things. It doesn't matter where the mod's/webmasters are from, if we are not educated in phrases that are not appropriate overseas then some people will be frustrated seeing such items in posts.
Thanks,

Thank you for taking the time to post a response and in the event of future contacts I will requote your words on this to them.

An Edit it was Posters not Poster.

From recollection it tends to be expensive places & winebars in that area. A short walk is St Katherine's dock & there is a Zizzi's there. Whilst a chain (pizza & pasta predominantly) the food is generally of a perfectly acceptable quality & the location there would be good. Andrew may have other ideas as I think he is better acquainted with that end of the city!

Someone suggested the''Gourmet Burger Kitchen Tower Place '' on this thread, looks nice and good value, ''Pizza Express Byward Street '' PE is always good, not just pizza's, feeling homesick, USA fare, at ''Bodean's Byward Street '', famous East End wine merchants Balls Brothers The Minster and Mark Lane are nice for liquid lunch. English Bangers and mash at ''Bangers Too'', now if you like a good curry, or want to try one, take a train a stop or two to Aldgate East (District Line) and go up Brick lane and choose from the many there.
