Book Palo!! Brunch and a dinner....
still trying to figure everything else out...:surfweb:

Very exciting!

What port adventures did everyone sign up to take? We're silver and have a bit more time to think about it.

Good morning, everyone!! Happy to see people are finalizing plans and booking excursions, etc. I haven't been getting notifications from this thread, so I was a bit behind.

Our "cruiser directory" now has more than 25 families in it. It is fun to learn more about everyone and for people to compare notes on hotels, etc.

If anyone wants to be in the directory, send me the following information:
Names of adults
Names, ages and genders of children
DISBoards user name (if you have one)
Where you are from
When you arrive in Venice and where you are staying
your email address (for me to send the directory to you; it won't be shared with anyone)
Any other information you want to share (some are sharing flight info)

SLG - tell your son to book Palo, then when he picks a night, ask DCL for a rotation which misses Carioca's on that night.

I just got off the Magic, I was a little less than impressed by dining there. To me, it was a stripped-down Parrot Cay, and the food wasn't as good. I'm looking forward to making that opinion obsolete on this cruise.

SLG, if you booked through a TA, ask them to have it requested on your file. if you booked directly through Disney, you would call them direct. It's most likely that the rotations won't be available until much closer to our travel dates. I know i'll be asking, and will post when i find out about it. Don't wait to do it onboard; it will most likely be too late, or you will be too busy.

Although... as far as this trip feels, this time will go very quickly. Can't wait.

For anyone that has booked their Disney tours are the Delos port adventures available from Mykonos? It is a Monday and Delos is normally closed on Mondays.

We did the Gozo experience last year and LOVED IT!!!

I also booked with Lefteris but my driver is Llias. :)

Excellent! I didn't know he had anyone else working with him. I'm very excited about Crete. We're going down to Knossos, the Venetian Fort, a village for lunch, and the Herakleion Musuem (my request). What are you guys doing?

Hi Everyone,

I will be on this cruise as well with my family (4 of us). July is going to be here before we know it!

Just an fyi - I e-mailed DCL the other day to ask about formal & semi formal nights - there will be one of each - the 2nd night will be formal night and the 10th night semi formal.

Does anyone know if they will be changing any of the stage shows on the Magic before July? 2010 was my last cruise on the Magic and all of the shows are still the same! I love them, but I thought they would have at least swapped one of the shows out by now. oh well - hopefully they will have some additional fun entertainment.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the upgrades they have done on the ship since my last cruise :)

Bye for now!

Welcome to the group Belle2002. Now that the pay in full date has passed, I'm getting very excited. I've just got to sit down and choose excursions. But my booking window does not open until April 15. However, I know the time will fly and we will be setting sail in no time.

I am so very overwhelmed by the choices. I want to do it all. :rotfl:

Welcome Belle, pour ya a frappe and dig in to the Greek goodness! The shows do not change too often, but the days in port are very long and you may miss many opportunities to head to the theatre.

Just posted this on Facebook:

have been adding to the directory this weekend and will send it out to all those who are in it tomorrow. If you want to be in it and have not yet sent me your information, please send it now so that I can add your info before the next revision of it goes out.
Info needed:
adult cruiser names
younger cruiser names, genders and ages
your DIS Boards user names if you post there
where you are from
cabin number(s)
when you arrive in Venice
Your Venice hotel
your email address (just for me to send directory; emails are not in it)
any other information (flights, Barcelona hotel, etc.)

Slg - looks we'll be together on a couple of the shore excursions. I'll know more on 3/31!

So, Disney is releasing summer 2015 cruise itineraries this week. Is anyone planning on booking? I'm not. My DH is military and we are waiting to get his next assignment right now. I can't even plan a Christmas 2014 vacation until I know where he/ we are headed to live. It's been 14 years since we've had a military move and I'm not looking forward to it. But such is life.

But it's fun to think about a future vacation and to hear what others are planning. So what itinerary are you looking forward to?

I grew up as an AF brat, and remember moving around frequently. That would be difficult to plan future trips. We're looking at doing the rumored 9 night fjord cruise out of Copenhagen. We'll see what's sailing Tuesday!

We are going to book a Baltic. When we did the MED in 2010 we kicked ourselves for not staying for the Baltic run and have been waiting ever since. We were going to book Viking because DCL was taking so long to release and they were offering 2 for 1 plus $ 800 airfare but with all the uncertainty with Russia relations we let the time lapse. Probably going to do the 12 night with Copenhagen overnight or Norway / Iceland if we can tie it to a Northern capitals.
