7-11 standards needed at Boardwalk

Since the food offerings and drinks are always replaced when they are about to run out, it's none of my business how much other guests take when I am in the lounge. I will also admit there are some nights where I have made a full meal of the appetizers depending on what's being offered, so I don't feel guilty about doing that.

I agree ... except when someone grabs the whole plate of appetizers that just came out (I've seen this happen once). I too have made a full meal of the appetizers (depending on what's being offered) and will take a few and then come back for more .... it's just plain rude to grab the entire plate.

Apparently, the concept of "club-level amenities" has been replaced by the "dinner replacement hog trough."

As far as the "dinner replacement hog trough" goes .... after a late lunch at Le Cellier, the appetizers make a perfect dinner .... the hog trough, to me, would be another Full TS or even a CS meal. I'm more of a snacker so CL works perfect for my eating style.

Three things I will add...

1. People have been wearing pjs in public to the point where kids wear them to school. I'm not saying I approve, but it is just an observation.

2. This is a child with a bathrobe over, presumably, pajamas. He shouldn't have had his little feet on the table for sure, but he made his appearance at a lounge, not in a 5 star restaurant.

3. Disney club level is just like Disney deluxe rooms, a watered down imitation of the real thing (Boy am I going to get flamed for this!). What Disney charges for deluxe or club level rooms would buy a heck of a deluxe experience anywhere else. The "magic" that Disney offers is what prompts people to pay a lot of money for an otherwise ordinary room. Again, not criticizing folks that do it, just saying that standards are relaxed everywhere at Disney. If you go to a signature restaurant you will see people eating in park clothing... just the way it is. You can't go deluxe or club level at Disney and honestly expect the same standards you would from a 5 star resort elsewhere.

So true. That's why our only "escape" has been Victoria & Alberts!

But you are still only snacking, so to me that's not the same as making a dinner from apps. Even if you aren't planning to have a full dinner that night, you are still only having a few snacks. Awesome.
It's the ones who chow down on 30 canapés to eat as much as a full dinner that are taking advantage. Sure there's no sign that says how much you can take, but the word "appetizers" means "appetite teasers," not "eat a load worth and you don't have to pay for dinner!"

I wonder why it's ok to wear pj's at a 3 star but not club level. It is NEVER OK to go to breakfast in pj's when you are staying at a hotel. NEVER!

I know I will probably be flamed but standards are slipping if you are wearing pj's in public.

:thumbsup2 No flames from me on this one! I totally agree!

I think this comment is more appropriate for WDW buffets or any buffets in general.

I just don't understand why some people seem to care how much food someone might consume when staying Club Level. WDW doesn't care, the Cast Members don't care, and it shouldn't be anyone elses business how much food someone takes. If a plate is food is empty, it is gladly replaced by the CM's. I have seen food put out ten minutes before take-down, not to be touched, and then thrown away. So the amout of food put at at CL is certainly not a concern of Disney.
Are there individual rude guests, of course there are, but there can be rude guests anywhere.
If I stay CL I am not paying an extra $100 a night for the privelege of getting a gold kttw card rather than the standard blue one. The food offerings are there for people to take, and if this bothers some guests then maybe Club Level is not for them.

I work for an expensive & prestigious private university and I see students in their pajama pants every now and again. I'd like to believe that they think they are fashionable, and they didn't sleep in them last night, but they are college students after all :rolleyes1
