7/04/10 Tusker House - Donald's Safari Breakfast

Arrived at a quarter to nine for our 910 am ADR at the Tusker House. It was an EMH and we are staying at the BWI.

We were one of the first families seated in our dining room after skipping a chance to pay for a picture of the family with Donald upon entry.

We were promptly queried about beverage choices by our waiter and off we went in search of goodies to eat.

This actually is a very good breakfast buffet. Lots of choices and most were pretty good. Our family hammered the crispy bacon, well done scrambled eggs, Mickey pancakes, fruits, breads , donuts etc.

We had one of the best waiters we have ever had at WDW for a buffet. Clifford was amazingly cheery, attentive and speedy. He should be cloned.

This is by far my favorite breakfast meal at all of Disney World. Their selection is fantastic, so many choices, great juice, big area, always a must do.

Thanks for posting. I'm so glad you enjoyed Tusker House. This is a must for our family to ever DIsney trip. When we went they did not have Mickey pancakes but had waffels but my son only eats pancakes so I'm so excited they have it.

We went to Donalds at Tusker back in Dec 08. It was so much fun. I loved it! Such an energetic atmosphere.

No. They all do come around to the tables to say hi and snap a few photos and give autographs.

This is one our must do meals every year, we think it is one of the best breakfasts Disney has.

Even though this was the lsat of our many meals, it was my son's absolute favorite, not just the food, but the character interaction. He pretty much avoided all the characters until this meal. He even made me wait for Goofy to come to our table. That was huge!

As for the picture with Donald, as you enter and have your picture taken with Donald, that is the only time you will see him and he DOES NOT sign autographs! That was the only thing about the whole experience I was not happy with. DS wants to do this breakfast again when we go in 2012 for DD's first trip!

Our two boys enjoyed it very much when we went in 2008! Since we are going this August we weren't able to get a reservation. The Jumba Juice is really delicious and we always enjoyed their food. The characters always make their rounds to the tables and got their autographs and photos taken.

So, Donald does not come around while your eating? What other characters are there?

Caretames1- You have your picture made with Donald outside BEFORE you are seated. We asked if he would autograph and the CM said NO! After we were seated at our table Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Goofy made the rounds. Donald does not come around to the tables. That was the only thing we weren't happy with. It is DONALD'S Breakfast, so he should give autographs and go around to the tables! Besides that, we loved it and will be going again on our next trip!

We do TH every time we go to Disney. Great selection and love the interaction with the characters. I think a lot better than Chef Mickeys by far. Crystal Palace comes in right with Tusker House.

I've been trying to get a breakfast reservation for our November trip to no avail. I'll keep trying.
