7:00 BOG Reservation without MNSSHP ticket?

Some friends of ours have been watching for a BOG reservation for the week they are there in Sept, but were unable to find one. Then one opened up today at 7:00 on a MNSSHP night. They are not going to be going to the party that night. Will they be allowed to eat at BOG then leave the park after they eat? Or do they need a ticket to eat since it's right at 7?

They are requiring a party ticket for any ADR after 6:20 this year. Even last year, they would not be permitted to dine at 7 without a ticket.

So, short answer: No. They can't do a 7PM ADR without a party wristband.

Good info! Where did you find the specific time? Would you see a warning on the ADR page stating something like "event ticket required?"

It's also in the Terms & Conditions multiple times when you book. It's good not to just hit the checkboxes, and read them!

I hadn't seen that they weren't allowing people to make ADRs after 6:20. Is that posted somewhere?

It hasn't been a concern for me, but a friend called to ask if that meant a 6:50 ADR required a wristband. With all usual caveats about CMs being prone to misinformation, said friend was told yes. The way the hours are listed on the website and also the statement about "This is a reservation during a hard ticket party etc. etc." in the T&C suggest the CM is not spreading misinformation.

Last year and years prior, the 7PM was the hard rule regardless. Your ADR time had to be before party time. It looks like this year they're upping the "time before start," possibly because there are limited routes for perp-walking from BOG in particular.

Having been part of the BOG perp walk a couple of times, I'd say the issue isn't necessarily the route, but rather because jerks try to break off from the group and make a run for it. We've had it happen both times we did the perp walk.

FWIW, last October was the first time we were allowed to leave BOG without an escort after dinner when we didn't have a party ticket. We weren't stopped one time on our way to the exit. We easily could have stopped to watch the parade had we wanted to, which was so different than our experience in the past. Maybe they're cutting ADRs off early so that there will be fewer non-party guests "legally" in the park by the time the party starts so they won't feel like they have to escort people at all. I know a lot of people were offended by the perp walk, but now that we've done it both ways, I will say that having an escort was preferable to having to fight our way to the entrance ourselves.

I know last year they had no note on the website and my sister got a phone call asking if we were attending the party and since we were not we were able to get an earlier adr for 6ish

No escort to the gate and I'm about to take a Cersi Lanister walk of board shame as we did linger in the hub to see the castle show and boo to you

I just hate it for them as they have been trying to get a reservation each time they have went since it opened. She was so excited when she told me she got one.

I did that once and then they showed up for my first born! Definitely not a good idea.

So now not only do ticket holders for a 7:00 p.m. - 12 midnight event get to get in early at 4:00 p.m. and make it busier for day guests, day guests can't make entire use of the park they paid for use of and are cut off before 7:00 p.m. I am officially raising the number of Universal days to avoid at least one of those party days.

I can see it both ways. Day guests want to make use of every minute they can. But they truly should be out of the park by 7 pm, if that is when the party starts. Makes perfect sense to not allow ADRs so late into the day by day guests.

I'm sure it's because BOG gets so backed up. We go every year and we are never seated on time. Usually we wait 30-45 minutes.
