We arrived home from our 6th annual Jersey Week trip just after midnight last night (this morning). I just finished totaling up the stack of receipts and we came in right around the same as our last few trips.

This is for 3 of us: Me, DW and DD-12 (a Disney adult). I drove roundtrip. DW and DD flew down and drove back with me. I left home 11/2 and arrived there 11/3. They came down on 11/4.

Total spent was $2,139.39. This includes everything except food items brought from home. I'd estimate another $20-25 for that. It also doesn't include tolls on the road. Let's just round it up and say $2,200.00 total for everything.

That breaks down like this:

Gas (I drove down alone; we all drove home together): $280.69
Airfare (DW and DD flew down): $158.80
Lodging: $384.72
Food: (again, not including items brought from home): $446.32
Gifts bought for others: $54.23
Souvenirs, special activities, miscellaneous: $239.53
Park passes: (We used 4 days worth of 10-day MYW tickets): $575.10
Parking: $44.00

All in all, very reasonable IMO. Note that I am only counting the cost of the portion of the park tickets that we actually used on this trip. Six more days remain on those tickets that we've already paid for, but I'm not attributing to the cost of this trip since we will use them at a later date.

Happy to answer any questions from those looking to do similarly budgeted Disney trips.

Are you going to finish the other trip report you started? If not, could you please answer my question concerning the crowd levels. I am still debating between the first week in October and the first week in November next year. My son has small breaks both of those weeks. As a Disney vet, how would you describe the crowd level? I have already heard that the weather was spectacular. TIA.

I am going to finish my trip reports, but to answer your question, the crowds were quite reasonable. We think it was better than last year during Jersey Week. We made sure to avoid the parks that had early entry (a good tip anytime of year) and always got to the park 30 minutes before opening. We used Fastpass a number of times, but quite a few times didn't need to as the stand-by lines on many popular rides were very short, often even shorter than the time posted.
