You know, the first thing I thought when I read I read your title is "Does this person realize just what a can of worms has been opened?" I won't try to convince you of one direction or the other but rather want to just encourage you to vote. I know how overwhelming everything can be during any election and this one seems is much more so than any I can remember.

My advice is a point of view I stole from Palmtreegirl: take personality out of it, don't vote for the guy you would like to have a beer with, since you never will, vote on the issues.

You just have to sit down and look at what issues are most important to you and go from there. good luck! I really hope you don't wing it though, it's gonna be too close for that, and the candidates are on such seperate sides of the issues.

If you are seriously stuck, why not make a list. List those items which are most important to you, ie: unemployment rate, spending/deficit, war on terror, defense, character, pro-life vs pro-choice, etc. Rank those items from most to least important and then put the name of the candidate who you agree with most on each topic next to that topic and count whose name is listed most.

I am right there with you. This weekend I have gone from one side to the other and back too many times to count. There are certain issues I feel strongly about and unfortunatly, the canidate who falls along with what I would like to see or with where I stand is different depending on the issue. Taxes/war/education/possible USSC appointment. I wish it could be an easy pick. No matter what, I am voting though, and no matter who wins, I feel that our country will still be strong. I don't feel that there is a "wrong" choice, just that there may be a better choice, and I just don't know who that is for me, my family, and our country.

I finally decided who I was going to vote for by deciding if I cold live with myself after voting for that person. Because my husband is military I think it was harder for me than usual. I finally just looked at the issues that was important to me and weeded out all the junk from each person and picked the lesser of the two evils in my book. I guess it also helps that we aren't a swing state or even a close state so I voted my conscious(sp??) So I say vote with what you can live with even if that person doesn't win.

I know I'm running the risk of being called insensitive and a host of other things, but I cannot imagine someone not having their mind made up by now. Now, if you were leaning Kerry I can certainly see why you might be confused on what his positions are TODAY, because they likely changed from YESTERDAY. But, at it's core both candidates have not drastically changed over the past 9 months. It should be pretty clear where they stand.

I totally agree. When people tell me that they are undecided and will probably vote for Kerry I tell them to vote for Nader or stay home and save the gas. DS 19 is taking three friends to the polls who he has managed to convince to leave the dark side. They will be voting for the president.

Even though I think I'm voting for a different person than you are, I agree with the above.

I'm not trying to put any undecided voters down. You have every right to make up your mind at your own pace...as long as you're done by the end of your voting time tomorrow. I'm just a little surprised because the 2 men running are so different. To me, it's not like you can agree with both of them.

I'm sure undecided voters must have their reasons. I'm curious as to what is holding you up?

It's very common for people to not know early. Some even make up their minds when at the polls. While I may not understand that, I can certainly understand that elections can be confusing. Not only must you consider what the candidates and their parties are saying, you may be getting information in other ways - often conflicting. Although I don't view it this way, some people truly do reach a point where it is more choosing the lesser of two evils rather than picking the best one.

Wow? What do you think one does when they support a candidate by putting a campaign sign on their lawn? By having a bumper sticker? By handing out campaign literature and delivering a verbal message. I have no problem at all saying "vote for my guy" or don't vote for the 'other guy'.

I may have a sign to show my support and maybe even to try and persuade others...BUT, I would never tell someone not to vote because they were not going to choose the same guy that I am. So NO...I'm not saying (with my sign) vote for my guy or don't vote at all. I wouldn't do that. I hope everyone that is eligible to vote, does vote...regardless of who they are voting for. Isn't it that right, that our service-men and women are giving their lives for.
