Was wondering what some of you have done for birthday celebrations. We will be in Disney for my DH's 60th Birthday. We are dining at the Boathouse the night of his actual birthday. Who can I contact to make his trip extra special. Thanks for all your ideas

Something we did to make our trip special was the Fireworks boat ride. We watched the Epcot fireworks from the boat on the lake. The fireworks were basically falling right on us (it is safe). It cost about $300 for 10 people and come with drinks and snacks (no alcohol). You can use the forums to find a boat to spilt or get your own boat. We loved it. (Another things that can be a positive is that you don't need a park ticket)

Unfortunately there is no one to “contact to make the trip extra special”. Probably hundreds or thousands of people celebrate milestones at Disney every day. Make sure you have his birthday noted on your ADRs & your hotel reservation. Sometimes, and I emphasize “sometimes” you will get a bit of extra magic, like a dessert or character signed card.

But anything you really want, you have to arrange yourself. I have ordered special cakes for my DH’s birthdays & a work promotion to be delivered at restaurants or to our hotel room. Disney Florist has gift baskets you can order. And you can get a celebration button in the parks or at the hotel. CMs & even other guests call out greetings when they see those.

I celebrated my 60th at Disney with my children and grandchildren. We all stayed at the BWI on the club level. We had a wonderful dinner at Tuto Italian Epcot where the wait staff sang to me in Italian. In the lounge later that evening my children presented me with a beautiful Beauty and the Beast cake, my favorite movie, made by the BW bakery. The club staff gifted me with a white chocolate Mickey and chocolate covered strawberries. It was a wonderful birthday and we return every year to celebrate my birthday at the BW

The best part will be your dinner at the Boathouse. If you like lobster, get the baked crab stuffed lobster. So good. And wear something you can get butter on without worrying about the fabric.

They sang to you in Italian?! That must have been amazing! Definitely the makings of a unique birthday celebration. :)
