you dont have a manual turn off valve on your sprinklers?

I have no idea. They are set on a timer, we push a button, they go... that's the extent of my sprinkler knowledge. And, we never imagined they were there was a problem until yesterday.


When it rains, it pours. Or when it sprinkles, you're screwed. 

He's back now and gets to take over "water management".
Averaged over the 20 years we've been in our house - about $200 per year.
