60 days until Treehouses open

Well, it is down to 60 days until the grand opening of the Treehouse Villas and I will be there.

Anyone else going that first day?

We'll be there also on day 1.

Will be at SSR (Studio) for Sunday May 31st, then moving over to THV on Monday the 1st.

We won't be there for open, but we will be there sometime after that.

Quick question about THV's. Do you buy directly into the Treehouses or do you buy into SSR and request a Treehouse?

I would only be interested the Treehouse, not SSR.

THV's are part of the SSR resort and use SSR points as home resort if one wants the 11-month priority window.

You don't 'request' THV. They are a booking category just like any other villa booking category: Studio, 1-B/R villa, 2-B/R villa, Grand Villa, Treehouse Villa.


Of course at 7-months, points from any DVC resort can be used to book a THV, if available.

Was snooping around the Treehouses from the Carriage (?) area of SSR. They look pretty done. There were even some orange trees with oranges on them right outside of the two units we were closest to (by the golf course). Here are some pictures taken this past Sunday, March 29. One is of the bridge that will be one access point from SSR to the Treehouses. Can't wait to go in October!

anyone know how many bathrooms are in the tree house villas. I got some info in the mail today. However, me reading the room layout, it looks like 1 bathroom. To me that doesn't make sense.

Anyone know the right answer?

We'll be there the first week of Sept. I can't wait to hear the reports of those of you going before. I know the location and bus service are concerns for alot of folks so I'm interested in hearing about all of that. I'm pretty sure we'll be renting a car.

We'll be at WDW on day 1 of the THVs, but will be staying at OKW. Our first treehouse stay is booked for next Jan. We're excited about it.

Will they have there own buses or share with SS. SS has alot of stops don't they? Would that be difficult? Or similar to POR and POFQ?
Oh, what about a pool? Is it going to be finished when they open?
I just wasn't expecting the opening so soon!!

DVCNews.com had a story about the bus situation recently. They reported that there will be an internal bus system taking THV guests over to the main part of SSR where they would catch another bus to the parks. Plus there will be a boat dock to take guets over to DTD.

I imagine the pool will open along with the treehouses themselves, but am not positive about that. I would think that since it's part of the overall resort that the opening deadline applies to it as well.
