Is it automatically 2 months in advance? Ie. if I check into a Disney hotel on August 10th, then is June 10th the day to make fast passes for 8/10, then 6/11 for 8/11? Or is it different?

I plan on getting up at 6 am each day to do the fast passes and want to make sure I don't get up a day too early! The first day is non park day for us.

No it's actually 60 days, you have to count the actual days not just go two months before arrival. Also you can make up to 10 days of fp reservations from your arrival day (up to the total # of days on your tickets) at 60 days out from arrival even if you're not going to a park on your arrival day

its 60 days.
its not 2 months unless each month has 30 days in it.
in this case july has 31 days so 60 days would be june 11th.
FP+ windows open at 7am est.

if you are staying in a disney world resort then you can book at 60 days out for the length of your stay.

if you're staying offsite you can only book 30 days in advance and its daily instead of all at once.

Okay great! I have the postcard that they sent me with the date to do reservations-that's great I can do it for the whole time. I'm in central time zone so 6 am here. I wish it was still midnight eastern time!

It's pretty much impossible for it to be exactly 2 months since there's never 2 consecutive months with 30 days. (It did happen for arrival dates in March and April this year because in those cases the two preceding months had 29 days and 31 days, but that's the only case where it could happen.)

Wow so no more midnight or 1AM start? When did that end?

To OP, we check in the 9th of August, my window starts on June 10th, so you should be the day after me, check this calendar;

new time went into effect on may 18th i believe.
sure bums me out because i'm a night owl and am often up until 2am so midnight was a perfect time cuz thats usually when i get my second wave of energy.
i go september 1st so my FP+ day is july 3rd and i am not looking forward to getting up just before 7am!

So glad I read this thread! I didn't realize the FP+ Window had changed from midnight to 7am. Glad I got that info before our FP+ window opened for our upcoming trip.

Not cool! That means I have to get up at 4:00am on Sunday.
