60 Days Out Today - Earliest FP for FOP

Count yourself lucky. I wasn't able to get FOP FP+ at all. I will keep checking, but am planning on going at RD if we can't get it. Why not just do Nav'i at RD?

Agree.. That's better than I got!
The earliest I got for my August FP was in the evening! I had to swap Navi to the morning and we are going back another evening for FOP.

Also maybe try during the week, rather than the weekend, this may increase your chance at getting a FP

We were there last week on a day when the reported crowd level was a 7. We got to the park 30 minutes after it opened and went straight to Navi River Journey, it was posted as a 20 minute wait but I think it was more like 15 minutes. At rope drop most people heading to Pandora go straight to FoP which mean you can easily do NRJ in under 30 minutes if you rope drop it instead. Given you are going to be there when crowds are predicted to be a 3, you should be able to walk right on.

Thats pretty good to only be posted at 20 minutes 30 minutes after Rope Drop!!

My 60 day window is today. I logged in to MDE and was ready to go at 7 eastern. The earliest FP I could get for FOP was 2:45. I took it, but it stinks because it knocked me out of the running for Navi for most of the day. TP predicts crowd level at a 3, so hopefully we can do standby for Navi without a ridiculous wait. Ridiculous meaning longer than 30 minutes. (September is too hot for that. )
My 60 day was 5 days ago. I, too, logged in at 7AM eastern. I, too, could only get a FP for 2:45PM - not on my first or second day but on my third, a Thursday.

Does this mean that this slow time is actually going to be very crowded?

Not necessarily. It only means FOP FPs are scarce.

you can only do one pandora ride per day, doing FOP is your best bet. all you really need to do is RD the river one and then you have the rest of the day to do other things and come back and do FOP when your fp is ready

My 60 day window was on Monday. I was able to get evening FP for FoP on the 4th day of our trip, and early AM passes for FoP on the 7th day of our trip. Best of luck!!!!!!

@DeterminedOne do you mind me asking what day of your trip you were able to get your fop fp for? hoping to get ours for day 3 for 6 people. We do not have park hoppers
We'll be booking 60 days out for our trip in dec

Our third day - Wednesday 9/27.

Why did I think it was 6am to book things? Did it used to be? Thats great you got it. I think you'd be able to get on Na'vi stand by :)

So did I - rushed DH out the door this morning just before 6 telling him I had to go make our FP+ reservations. Logged on and SURPRISE!:-)

So what I am hearing is be happy with what I got. I can do that. :yay:
I was thinking I could get Na'vi as a 4th FP, but from what I'm reading that's not possible. I could hit it up at RD, but already made FP for Everest and Kilmanjaro ...

Got our FOP fastpass for 2:40PM on Sep 19 (4th day - Sep 16-22) and like you was online right at 7 ready to go! Figure we'll rope drop the River Journey. Just happy we got one! :D

My 60 days was yesterday and I got FoP on our 5th day in the am, although could have scheduled 4th day in at 2:45. We have MNSSHP that day though so didn't want it that late.

Totally random hint to drop in here, but it may help some people. I'm traveling with my wife and 3 kids (9, 7, and 4). 4 year old is not tall enough to ride FoP. So when we booked FPs, I booked FP for 3 of us on FoP, and 2 on Na'vi River Journey at the same time. We'll get a Rider Switch at each ride (yes, Na'vi River Journey has Rider Switch). Once the 3 of us go through on FoP, my two older kids can go through a 2nd time with the other parent. Then we head over to Na'vi River. The two of us booked with FP go through, and once they're done the other two kids can go through with the other parent using the Rider Switch FP. probably the only way to do both rides in a day without a serious wait or getting there super early at RD. Hope it helps!!!!

I just did our FPs Tuesday and had nothing for FOP. I did get NR at 9:25 and will rope drop FOP then head over to NR. Just have to get there early to be up front.

Hi, My 60 day was today as well and I was on the FP+ site right at 7. First one I went for was FOP and the earliest i could get was 4:35pm. Nothing in the morning the whole week! I did see quite a few openings for the evenings though. I booked for a Wednesday, btw.

Ride Na'vi at rope drop. It won't be crowded. Go explore the rest of AK and return to Pandora for your 2:40 FoP FP. It will be a lot of walking, but I guess that's the tradeoff for shorter waits.

You don't really need FP+ reservations for either early in the morning / RD.

I would suggest moving those to later in the morning or evening. Quite honestly on a "3" crowd day, you should be able to do Na'vi, Safari and Everest in the morning on standby with little waits, and make your FP+ reservations for later in the day when the park is more crowded. That way, you'll be able to experience each multiple times with minimal waiting. I guess it's a matter of how much you want to walk back and forth.

Makes sense. Thanks for the suggestions. This FP+ reservation stuff has me so confused. I'm one of those people who would love it if they could go back to the old system in which you physically go to the ride and get a FP out of the machine. It's difficult to predict where I am going to be in the park at any given time - 60 days in advance.:scared:
