Traveling with extended family this summer. A few of us have WDW resort reservations that begin a few days before our "official" family trip starts, so we can book our FP about three days earlier than my parents, who aren't arriving until the "official" start. We are all connected through MDE and all of our 7-day Park Hopper tickets are registered. Will I be able to book FP for everyone on the date MY 60-day window opens, or will I only be permitted to book for those of us who have a resort reservation that starts on the same 60 days out?

TIA!

You can book for everyone! As long as you (or someone else with an earlier window), is in the FP group, you can add the others to the group.

Get on MDE and add them to your Friends&Family. Last Nov I gave all the adults in our 11 person party my user ID and pasword so they could control their own destiny. If you have an AP they'll all qualify for PhotoPass too.

Whether they have a package or not will impact the answer:
- For purposes of booking FPs, tickets bought as part of a Disney room/ticket package behave differently than tickets bought separately. This distinction has major implications for booking FPs in some situations. Put simply, package tickets are not valid for any dates prior to the room check-in date. Tickets bought separately are valid immediately. It is never advantageous to have package tickets if a guest will be at Disney before their package starts. Additionally, package tickets complicate FP booking scenarios where two linked groups arrive on separate dates.

Terrific! Thanks, all, for your responses! We all have tickets purchased separately from our room reservations. And special thanks to mesaboy2, as my sister and I used your tiering system to plan FPs for this trip!

I understand the difference if the "MDE friends" have a package or just regular tickets, but what if these "MDE friends" have AP? Would they behave more like the package guests (and not be eligible until their 60 day window opens) or would they behave more like the regular ticket guests (and become eligible when my 60day window opens - a few days earlier)

AP doesn't matter. Once your window opens then it will open for them as well
