We are doing a split stay over 6 nights in late October staying first 3 nights at the Riviera and second 3 at Bay Lake Tower. Kids are 7, 9, and 11. We're thinking of getting Park Hopper tickets. Our first night is October so restaurant reservations open up in a couple weeks. We plan to eat lunch and dinner in the parks every day, although we may do dinner once or twice in the condo. Based on where we are staying, thoughts on (1) park reservations; and (2) restaurant reservations. Should we start thinking about Genie and Lightning Lane stuff for attractions we want to see (like Rise of the Resistance) or can we hold off a bit on that? Thanks!

You can't do anything with Genie+ or ILL until the day of, so no need to worry about that now. Just keep watching for any updates and learn the ins and outs before your trip.

I guess it goes without saying that you should do HS during your Riviera stay, and MK during your BLT stay. AK could go either way, since you will need a bus from either. And Epcot as well, since you'd have Skyliner at Riviera and monorail at BLT (although Skyliner would be more direct, so I'd lean toward doing it then).

Meals really does come down to personal preference. Take a look at menus to see what everyone would like. Garden Grill in Epcot would probably appeal to your kids. Since two of them are still the kids' price, prix fixe meals in general are a pretty good deal.

First off congrats Excellent split stay choices, wonderful Resorts.

For the food, Like above, really can depend on tastes and budget.

The quick food is quite good at Riviera IMO (don't forget the outside bar near the pool has food as well. Can sit there or take it down to the beach etc. The top of Riviera pipes in the Harmonious music outdoors-and you can see the show-just pretty far away of course. The food up there is pretty good but spendy.

It's also not far to walk to C Beach for a few more choices.

The new Connections at EPCOT was really good we thought.

Since it will be Food & Wine, you might land on some things the kids will like as well.

Beaches and Cream if you can get in.

Bay Lake Tower? Been a while. I suppose Chef Mickeys just for the kids sake.

Maybe boat to Wilderness lodge, Geyser Point limited menu but a fun spot.

Dig into menus and reviews, have a great time.
